This thread is so funny, Patch is so funny, arguing about nothing is so funny.

It's like beating off furiously to the sound of your own voice replayed over an answering machine.

What I don't understand is no one seemed to care that it was a joke.

I mean that's fair enough, but it didn't come across as a joke - far from it in fact. Take two parrots and cool your jets.

Josh - It's an uphill battle, but stick with it.

Patch - Let's not be mad at each other, lets be mad at the Internet for not being advanced enough to help us realize your original post was meant in the manner of a joke. wink.gif

Or you can all get made at the "dumb 'Merican" for this question: What does "cop that" mean? My Google-fu isn't helping much on this one and the UD definition doesn't make total sense in this context.

Didn't think that was necessarily a non American term, but you can think of it as the same meaning as conceding.

Well, it's deffinatly a non-Pennsylvanian term. Thanks for the explanation.

Have you ever heard the line 'It's a fair cop'? Similar thing. Yeah, pretty much conceding. It's saying 'I'll take that'. I got it from Monty Python and other people.
Let's let this topic lie.
In saying that I've now covered 'hypocrite' as well as 'douche'.

Your mom walks funny... after last night.
"I felt insulted until I realized that the people trying to mock me were the same intellectual titans who claimed that people would be thrown out of skyscrapers and feudalism would be re-institutionalized if service cartels don't keep getting political favors and regulations are cut down to only a few thousand pages worth, that being able to take a walk in the park is worth driving your nation's economy into the ground, that sexual orientation is a choice that can be changed at a whim, that problems caused by having institutions can be solved by introducing more institutions or strengthening the existing ones that are causing the problems, and many more profound pearls of wisdom. I no longer feel insulted because I now feel grateful for being alive and witnessing such deep conclusions from my fellows."
-Jimmy McTavern, 1938.

Eh, after Patch's attack caused like 10 attacks on him, he definitely has a right to at least defend himself. So we're hardly arguing over nothing.

But, everyone who reads this, lets get one thing straight: YOUR MOM IS RATHER LARGE!

There, I just Burned the whole thread, completing the circle, and setting the gears of thread deletion in motion.
