So, who saw it and who's planning to see it? I just saw it today and it was very kick ass. Hope the inevitable sequel's just as good.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

It was really good, and downright amazing considering it's Iron Man. wink.gif

Recommended to anyone.

And in the sequel they better play the real song.

I Loved it, love, love, Loved....IT.
I think i am officially in love with Mr. Downey Jr.
as Tony Stark. He's sexy, alright!

Sure his character maybe cocky, a little drunk
and coked out of his mind but it was great.

Stay after the credits there is a
little scene that gives way to a sequel

Now here's hoping the Hulk shan't disappoint
but i doubt it (Eric Bana forever)

This is how you make a comic book movie. An intelligent script, a brilliant leading man, a talented supporting cast and perfectly integrated CGI. Iron Man got it right on every level.

I meant of course the choice of the main character, the casting was brilliant.

Iron Man the character...pretty lame.

Ok, so they have released dates for Iron Man 2 as well as several other Marvel movies. I hope that they all do well, simply because Marvel is funding them, and they are pretty much guaranteed not to butcher the stories. Excellent.

Meh. Sorry, guys and gals, but I'm going to have to rain on your parade.

It was fun and silly and action-packed, and had good effects, but the plot went from nowhere to generic cliché and slow as molasses. Very typical Hollywood blockbuster/high concept movie. Also typical ridiculous "America, FUCK YEAH!" moments at times, though thankfully slightly better than Spidey posing in front of a big American flag. Everyone but Mr. Stark was wooden and painfully predictable. He was at times fun and quirky and at other times just annoyingly predictable. I did enjoy it, but I can't in good conscience say it was very good.

Have to agree partly with Slade here. I enjoyed the flick, but the main villain went from believably motivated to insanely drunk with power in the space of a single scene. Add to which his immediate facility with the equipment belied the hour or so of film time spent showing Stark developing his version and painfully testing it.

Loved RDJ though. His work is acting gold, with a little bit of racecar red here and there for effect.
