You don't block, you parry. You can't block unless you block right before the enemy hits you. Isn't too terribly difficult to figure out.

Why thank you, Captain Patronising, that's what I was doing. Sometimes it even worked.

Ghello: maybe they shouldn't, judging by Yahtzee's review they explained a bit too much in part 2 as it is. Is there a PC version of that by the way?

They don't have one planned but Condemed 1 wasn't planned for PC I think.

I can't remember how it was explained, maybe I need another play through.

I have to say, the game was actually really good. Sure, indigo prophecy syndrome was present, and the last boss fight did suck. But most of the levels were pretty awesome. The gunfights were stupid (not being able to duck was a pain in the ass), but the deepness of the hand to hand combat was amazing. That, and the bear. The bear might've made the game for me.

....bear.

I punched the bear in the eye before he punched me.

I just thought this needed to be quoted for future reference.

I picked up Condemned for 360 about 2 weeks after the review, because it was only 10 dollars at this local game store that I like and ISN'T GAMESTOP I HATE THAT STORE. It was good, and I really liked it. It definetely didn't scare me as much as I thought it was going to (As much as Yahtzee said it would). I was scared as hell for the first 2 levels, then I saw one of those heroin junkies that got bitten by a radioactive spider and stopped taking it as seriously. A good rental, one of those games you play once or twice and become richer for the experience, like Assassin's Creed.
