So I have to say that this is easily one of the more annoying songs on the radio lately, continuing a whiney rock trend of rockers too pop to be emo, but too whiney to realyl rock. The thing that sets it apart is that the rhyme scheme was created by a third grader.

The song makes me sad
When I listen to it I feel bad.
The song makes me feel blue
What about you?

Does it make a difference? Buckcherry are fucking horrible either way, so I could easily see something as awful as that coming from them.

Oh finally people who don't think this song is the best thing ever
Buckcherry's lead singer sounds

like the bastard lovechild/lab creation of
Chad Kroeger, Scott Stapp, Scott Weiland or the guy from Hinder

At the end of the song when he's screaming sorry
it seems like he's either overcome by emotion

or lack of talent i cant tell you which
but they play the song way too much

that it may actually creep into my head and corrupt me

Duct tape is like the force....

There's a lightside, a darkside

and it holds everything together

It's not so much the music or hte vocals, just the sheer awfulness of the lyrics. This sounds like poetry I would have written when I was six if I was particularly lame and had ran over someones cats tail on my bike. Is that what the singer is apologizing for?

And meanwhile a song with the same meaning, infinitely better lyrics, vocals and music, is going unheard. Saying Sorry by Hawthorne heights should be on the radio every day, and this shit should have been left in a twelve year old's diary where it belongs.

Hawthorne Heights? These emo puds?

They're one of the worst offenders in the "hilariously overwrought emo bullshit" category.

Emo?! But... but... That dude has tattoos, and that other guy has a shirt with skulls on it! tongue.gif

Buckcherry seriously deserves to have their instruments destroyed and to have them playing "music" made illegal with a penalty of death.

And no song should be played on the radio every day. People get sick of them really fast that way.

I like me some hilariously overwrought emo. All I can say in their defense is that emo is better than whiney rock crap because it's honest about its intentions and, between bouts of crying and screaming and cutting, you can occasionally hear actual rocking out or decent guitar solos, for instance, Dead by MCR. Also, the Hawthorne Heights song wasnt composed only of monosylabics.

ACTION UPDATE: Through careful research I discovered that the true author of the song wasnt buckcherry OR satan, but our very own Adolf Hitler.

[bad taste]

"Oh I had a lot to say was thinking on world war
I missed deutchland and figured we'd even the score
Cause beerhall putschs never come out right
And when I see aryans cry it makes me want to die
I'm sorry about Stalingrad, I'm sorry my eyes arent blue, I'm sorry about all the things I said about jews
And I know I can't take it back
I love how you heil, I love german ground, and baby the way you make my axis go round
And I just wanted to say I'm sorry:
This time I think I'm to blame
it's harder to get through the days
I got owned and had to play the cyanide game
Every single day I think about how we came all this way
The kristal nights and the time you joined the allies it's never too late to make it right
Oh yeah sorry!"

Oh, how I hate that song. I saw the video once and all I can remember every time the song comes on is how ick that guy looks. Creeeeeepy.

It seems to me that a lot of recent songs have been borrowing lines from other songs. It makes it really hard to sing. All the songs blend together in one freakish medley.

Also, I think that Radio really needs to clean up it's act. The stations really need to diversify their playlists, because if you only hear the same 12 songs all the time, if you like them, you'll download the least sucky. If you hate them, it fills you with murderous rage. Either way, the record companies lose. Stupid radio. Stupid buckstupid.

"Well kids, I guess your father isn't a hermaphrodite."

While we're on the subject of overplayed songs. I listen to the radio for maybe 5 minutes a day as my alarm clock is set to it. And every day at least once I have to hear either this whiney song, or one thats just as bad: That "she hit the floor song"

You know what my problem is with it? The subject woman is first described as wearing some manner of jeans and boots with the fur, but later the same woman is wearing baggy sweatpants and reeboks with the straps. How many layers is this chick wearing, and why is everyone so concerned when she falls and slams into the floor because she's wearing two pairs of shoes?

I WANT ANSWERS, GOD DAMN IT!

I don't know what is worse
that you called it that "she hit the floor song"

or that you actually know what she is wearing
as she slams into the floor lol

Flo Rida and T-Pain would be so happy that though
you hate the song you still know the lyrics to "Low"

You dare to make light of my pain? Of course I know the lyrics. The motherfucker is on every single day at 1 pm, which is the same time my alarm is set for. I've unwillingly listened to the song enough to earn a damned doctorate in stupid floor hitting songs. Usually the only reason I get up in the afternoon is to turn the radio off. Violently.

I listen to the radio a lot at work, and I have to say I'm glad that I've never heard any of these songs. The music I hear's been relatively good lately. I guess there isn't much in the way of rap or hip hop coming out here.
