Welcome to the new LNE message board/forum. Some or all of you may hate it but it was a necessary change. As you may have noticed the old message board has turned into a spam graveyard. This new system will alleviate spamming and offer a more enticing environment for posters.

Should you have any comments/suggestions/inevitable complaints then feel free to meow or bark here about them.

Thank you.

Also, any of you who are registered on the Chefelf.com forums can post here with your same username/login.

Enjoy! Let the complaining begin!

Heeeeeyyyyyyy....I likes it! I imagined that things would just be like the rest of the Chefelf.com forums, only Lance And Eskimo, but the colour scheme and layout is keen. So long, old message board.

I guess we are full of surprises.

The look is temporary (for the time being). The skin may change in the future but for now it is just a little something Carlos 9 threw together to set it apart from everything else.

BRILLIANT

The old Hangout is BACK BABY!

Let the spammers be blocked, the jerks be banned, and let all the greatness that once was, be once more.

It's all fancy and with avatars and everything. Wow.
Of course there is a sense of loss for the old board. There will be mourning. But this is good. I like it.

Walrus, we still have the old board, as a historic peice rather than a functional forum.

Yes, I too approve of the change. Change is good.

Is the FullyRamblomatic forum going to get a layout change so it looks like the old forum?

I seem to recall a big thing a year or so ago about taking away any indication of the number of posts people had made because it led to too much competition or something, and now I see the number, along with some status bar all laid out for everyone to see. Did we all get ultra mature, and communal all the sudden, or is this just a way for old posters to assert their power?

I knew... KNEW, that Rory was going to bring this up.

Yes the post count is visible for now. It is not a matter of power or status. It is just there along with the date you joined the discussion. Take it for what it's worth (which is nothing).

The reason it was disabled on the old board wht to discourage "stat building". However, do what you like. It is back. Hopefully it doesn't get abused but we shall see.

That forum needs more than a layout change...Actually it doesn't need the layout change at all. I like the way the other forums look. They're pretty.

Look, I was the "Ugnar the Stench Revealer" and the "Thrax the Fuck-You-Sayer" and all the rest. If I promise to be good, can we move back to the old forum? I don't like this one much.

I don't think it was your fault, Officer B; changing the forum format can't really prevent individual people from saying swearwords on the messageboard (at least I hope it can't!) But apparently it can prevent those terrible robot-spammers from getting at it (right?), so that's why it changed over (right?)

I also don't think anyone should be mad at Officer B. It's inconvenient when people post stuff about eating poop or whatever five hundred times in a row, but occasional weirdos popping up and saying mean things in the middle of a thread is in accordance with ordinary Lanceandeskimo behavior. I'm not sure it should be actively encouraged, but it should be tolerated as much as regular-stupid-people-saying-something-unrelated-or-uneducated-or-stupid-or-mean is tolerated. And that last thing is tolerated a lot, because most of us count as regular stupid people.

But I do think the status bars are weird. And mean!
