And before you all get your panties in a twist I am talking about Computer assisted/aided drafting/drawing/design.

Im taking it currently in my 3rd year of highschool for the 3rd consecutive time, and ive gotten pretty damn handy with Inventor 11, was wondering if anyone here works at a Drafting job, and if you think its a worthwhile career? I mean, are you having a good time?

Also, feel free to chat about anything CAD related here.

I used to have a trial version photoshop 8.0, but the trial finished up and I tried to work with Image ready. It wasn't was I expected and didn't really add any interesting and heartwarming concepts.

Now, I'm just trying to master the MS and photo editor, though they suck in making nice pics.

Back when I did DT in GCSE, I really liked the whole concept of those 3-D designing softwares, but I was never really good at them. If you think its handy for you and you also understand designing and thinking about working in the industry, then I advise you to do Design Technology or computer aided design.

I used Logo in school. I drew some spirals. And a house.

That's it.

I did some interesting art with Bryce and Poser but since they were school assignments the school owns the images or some such nonsense. It's not what I wanted to do with my life anyway.

I'm working on a minor in Engineering Design Graphics. I've used AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, 3ds max, and Maya (and picked up Photoshop pretty well during the process. I'm pretty handy at making textures for 3D objects). I'm hoping to be able to break into the gaming industry working with 3D graphics.
