My impressions were that he was more or less fishing for ideas. He said something along the lines of, I don't know what characters to throw together.

So if he takes someone's suggestion to put Rob and Young Yahtzee together, that's one thing. If he follows the exact suggestion, then that might be the sort of writing his own fan fiction objection that was mentioned early--though I don't really know what that means.

I feel that if I suggested X and Y characters in situation Z set in setting Q with plot twist B, Yahtzee might only take X and Y and tell me to shove the rest up my ass.

In my opinion

Chris Quinn:
It could finally introduce this Special Talent Project cross-over we've been hearing for a while now.

Twelve-Thirteen:
Yes, but only if it's a sequel to the alternate ending.

Odysseus Kent:
I'd need to play the game first.

Rob Blanc:
It would be good but I doubt Yahtz would write a sequel to a webcomic he dismissed a week ago.

Young Trilby (more thievery action):
I don't want to read the long overdue AoT 4 levels expansion, I want to play it.

Older Trilby (more supernatural horror):
Trilby going Blackwell Legacy on more emo ghosts? No thanks. Wake me up when he'll be in the maw of some tentacled lovecraftian horrors.

The Elaborate Gesture Crew again:
The last story was great, why not?

[rant] Argh! Please please please stop missusing the phrase "emo!" Emo refers to a subculture of bad poets with a distaste for color, it does not mean anything and everything related to emotions.

It's like the difference between Sentiment and Sentimentality. The later is when you (for whatever reason) pretend to feel something you don't really feel. The former is when you actually feel it.

Greg was overly emotional and melancholy, but he was not an "emo."

If you can find me another more suited word that will sum my disgust for Greg and his total lack of badassness, I will.

Emo is short for emotional and it comes from the subgenre dubbed Emotional Hardcore, but now it is it's own genre, being a poet has nothing to do with Emos or Emo music.

Just like Punks are sterotypically angry and have mohawks, Emos are sterotypically depressed, whether it's real or not, and have "Emo cuts."

[sarcasm]Greg probably had some very severe psychological syndrome while he was still human. Otaku is not the word to describe him, but at least its better than "emo"tional.[/sarcasm]

Dude, there are lots of them, without the annoying pop-culture connotations. Lets see... Wimp, wuss, coward, weakling, chicken, dweeb, maggot-brain, dork, limp-noodle, wet mop, looser, muddy-brained idiot, snake-bellied coward, maggot-headed useless waste of carbon molecules, stupid, miserable, emotional train-wreak, bum who wasted worthwhile oxygen from the moment he was born, pus-leaking pimple on the face of society...

You gravitated towards music-centered stereotypes when the whole wide world of Creative Insults is out there just waiting for you? You disappoint me, sir.

A person can't be a genre. A genre is something applied to fiction, music, fashion, any sort of creative output. "Emo" is a genre of music. When you're calling someone "emo" you're assigning them a stereotype, namely the stereotype of the kind of person who presumably listens to that music. And stereotyping is always such a good idea...

.....I kinda got sidetracked.

Back to talking about characters!

I really should have included an option for "none of the above," I'd like to see a more empherical character take center-stage for once.

Though if I was going to get "emo" (emotional) about it, I'd wish for something good to happen to Older Trilby. That poor guy has it so rough, and I hate to think of him slaving away for the rest of his days as a government minion, nicely toeing the line. I just hope he gets his freedom back someday. Sunny of me, I know, but..meh. I don't care.

My sentence had nothing to do with any of that. A person who listens to Emo music are Emos or an Emo, and a person who listens to Punk are Punks or a Punk.

Ladies, chill. You're all pretty and you're all going to the ball. Everyone relax.

I'd love to see a 1213 story, simply because in my books 1213 is fighting the Chzo Mythos for the title of Most Badass Game Evarrrr so yeah, I'd love to hear some more stuff. But instead of a sequel to the alternate ending, I'd suggest a parallel storyline - like some of the events of the game, as seen by Administrator Westbury, perhaps?

Then again, Chris Quinn would be awesome too. I'd even go as far as to wonder if he'd encounter Trilby in his story, but I'm some random weird dude who gets a kick out of insider references so it might actually be safer to ignore that one.
I'm not pessimistic; I've just realised that the light at the end of the tunnel is an incoming train.

o_ô

I dare you to think hard about whatever you know or think you know so far of each individual poster here and say that again with a straight face. I tried. My flatmates now deem me the most cheerful person they've ever seen. Especially Dan, who's just seen his girlfriend taking off for good. Maybe I should make it a habit to sleep with a handgun under my pillow now...

Actually, I'd be more interested in seeing a story that's completely unrelated to the games Yahtzee's made.

But maybe that's just me.

So I just noticed that there is someone missing from this list.

Someone who I, personally, would very much like to read about again.

Where is Articulate Jim?

Well, I voted for none of those, because I really want a Philip Harty story, about his old treasure hunting days before his demise in the DeFoe Manor!

It would be awesome to play a base management game featuring characters from Yahtzee Takes On the World. Right? Riiiight?

I'd say Elaborate Gesture.
