Neither was I.
Ouch.

Anyway, yes, CAD is pretty bad, though I admit having very little patience for webcomics (I do reluctantly giggle at penny arcade, and I'm occasionally hypnotised by toothpastefordinner, but that's about all). Still, two points :

1° CAD being a bit below the watchable level, I'm surprised so many CAD-haters watch it so regularly. Regularly enough to fill such a thread. I mean, after a certain amount of bleeding, I tend to shut my eyes.

2° There has already been worse than CAD on the internet. In fact, I had the intention to provide a sample, but it seems that during my "shut-the-bleeding-eyes" phase, those comics have been removed from the internet. Strangely, I feel a bit empty now.

I wonder if www.nichtlustig.de counts as a webcomic.

B^U is an emoticon of sorts I guess (flip it on its side). It's to make fun of the slack-jawed, droopy-eyed look that's usually on the characters' faces.

Holy fucking shit, a straight forward explanation from some one who apparently understands an internet meme? I thought that it was some rule of the internet that you had to keep it a secret for as long as possible, while simultaneously show it too as many people as possible.

The only clue I had uncovered on my own, besides the few Game Over condescended to give to us, was in the comments of one of the youtube video tributes to the CAD animated cartoon-thingy-that-people-apparently-paid-money-for.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=GaLMLPUFFwg

~2:38, Ethan falls to his knees and screams: BAAA-UUUUUUUUUU-ck

Leading to comments:

"B^^^^^^^^^^UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUck..."
BA^A^A^A^A^A^A^A^A^A^A^A^A^AUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUA UAUAUAck..."

He's calling you, B^Uckley. "

So I had assumed until the emoticon argument that B^U meant B "raised to the U" as in, "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-ck"

Oh, and on the subject of webcomics, what about xkcd?

Or maybe buck you?

I don't understand your explanation.
When you say, B raised to the 'U', do you mean the 'V', like the hand signal?

As in:
2^1=2
2^3=8
4^2=16
B^U=BuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuCK.

Which I said I picked up from the cad cartoon video, and from a comment of a person who seemed comfortable using the B^U expression.

... The emoticon makes much more sense.

As a metter of interesting fact, Amig90 is actually me. It was a easter egg I found. I'm sure there are still more.

Well at least Buckley isn't like (the artist formerly known as) Prince.
"I felt insulted until I realized that the people trying to mock me were the same intellectual titans who claimed that people would be thrown out of skyscrapers and feudalism would be re-institutionalized if service cartels don't keep getting political favors and regulations are cut down to only a few thousand pages worth, that being able to take a walk in the park is worth driving your nation's economy into the ground, that sexual orientation is a choice that can be changed at a whim, that problems caused by having institutions can be solved by introducing more institutions or strengthening the existing ones that are causing the problems, and many more profound pearls of wisdom. I no longer feel insulted because I now feel grateful for being alive and witnessing such deep conclusions from my fellows."
-Jimmy McTavern, 1938.

Prince is not even human. Though, that might be the same case with Buckley. But at least prince did actually achieve something. Sold a lot of records. Made lots of money and...raged war against the Internet like Elton John.

Let it die, already, or do you still think you can beat some more abortion jokes out of this dead horse?

Does the horse have the dreaded lurgy? If so there may be a way to fix the problem.

Maybe, just maybe, it's too late. Hence 'dead' and not 'dying'.

I'm unfamiliar with the term 'shooping'.
Oh my, I sincerely hope not.
I could only find one definition of it and that was on urban dictionary.
I'm not going to put the actual definition in.
Well, okay, yeah, you can do that. But you can do that to any comic. Except Xkcd.
