I just happened accross this story and thought you might be interested. I'll stay on target next time.

AC was not a "video game movie" as such, in the sense that it was not an adaptation, it was a direct continuation of it's core franchise by the same people behind the game in the first place.

Games have yet to have a good Adaptation.

I was sticking up for the topic, since the only thing to talk about anymore happens once a week, we should be aloud to talk about anything we find interesting.

Hmm, then if Silent Hill is the best one, there still has never been a good videogame movie. The only thing realitive to the game was fog. It was a decent horror movie, but a shitty SH adaptation.

Critics hated it but they hated it for stupid things, like Agent 47 not showing emotion, which he never does. I didn't want to watch it due to Agent 47 looking like extra from "America History X," I knew they'd end up making him look stupid because noone could pull his look off, but a Hitman fan I talked to said it was actually good.

Critics hated V for Vendetta.

For me, this was another reason to be skeptical about them en masse.

I am boycotting Hitman because 1) there's a romantic subplot that is totally out of character for 47 and 2) 47 is not David Bateson, and thus only a pretender in my mind.

As for critics, there are good ones and bad ones. Some actually raise valid points. There's one who works for the New Yorker who compares each and every single movie he reviews to some 12 others that only he has ever seen. And then there are the stupid ones...

Just one review is enough if it gives me the actual info I need to decide whether or not I'm going to like the movie.

I liked it since the movie actually did reflect the Hitman style atmosphere. The actor in fact did look young, but his face forced me take him seriously.

V for Vendetta was perfect in anyway and if critics disagree, they're "stupid".

Um the romantic subplot is pretty much non existant.
The woman is really just thrust into his life
and he needs her as a cover.

But really they're relationship doesn't go
anywhere beyond a weird friendship
47 is to wooden (hahaha) to carry on anything like that

but i think you should just see it
forget critics, you be the judge.

You can't take any paid critics info seriously. Every big time critic wants a movie that has secret meanings and complete originality.

I didn't want to see it for the same reasons as you though, but I might after what Tru said.
