Hey now, that was a low blow Game Over, a very low blow. The last thing I wanted was to become a Creepy Fan Story.

And don't imagine. It's not worth it.

...I need to find me a real boyfriend...Maybe I could do what my sister did: her high-school sweetie was a guy she met at a party after she won six flawless victories against him at Soul Caliber. She turned, looked him in the eye, and said "OWNED!" He said he knew right then that he had to date her. Too bad he turned out to be one of those possessive, creepy, paranoid boyfriends who freaked out whenever she even talked to other guys.

Still, they dated for about three years, and I'm sad, because at the GAME convention I beat like seven guys at Soul Caliber didn't get a single boyfriend out of it!

So alone.

For some reason girls are always good at soul calibur. Try beating guys in activities at which women are generally not known for being skilled, like driving or reading.

How it works.

It's specially painful because my sister always looks down her nose at gaming: she's too busy being social queen bee. Yet she seems to have some unholy gift for the damn things: picking up a controller and accomplishing in minutes what I've spent hours trying to do.

I used to call her into the room and make her stand there as a good luck charm whenever I was attempting something difficult, like a boss fight or a really hard puzzle. She made tons of fun of me for this, but it worked. I don't understand it one bit.

But you do realize what immense business opportunity you have at your hands there with that personified lucky-charm, right? blink.gif

Well, at least we have a love story in here. Something which this community needs (I think so/I guess).

You know what? This actually reminded me of a song:
Sexual healing
yeah, yeah
Its good for me
Sexual healing
La la la la la
Doom doom
Sexual healing is very nice
Sexual education

DreamerM (Oh, yeah. What is the 'M' for, BTW?), you first need to calm down. Then, you should stop thinking too much about too many thing and the too many possibilities which lie ahead.
A beer or a nice drink may decrease the number of thoughts you get in a short while.

Then, you just need to face the fact that Yahtzee is...um, more like an Oscar Wilde clone. He might even get Aids, mental/emotional breakdowns or etc. and say something like "Whats up with these curtains. Where's Trilby?" as last words.
I mean, he does have the special witty gene.

Then, well...I can't really give more advices and I'm not even sure how to advise a female member.

[Sarcasm]In case you can't get over it, mastu--um, I mean, drawing and other activities may get your mind off the whole dream of having a writer and videogame designer as the prince charming or whatever you want to call it[/sarcasm]

PS: Keep up the good SC. I suck horse testicles at SC, but I'm pretty good in Tekken.

The M is my real initial.

And I don't understand, you told me stop taking things so seriously and thinking so much, but then you said I shouldn't take YOU seriously, which is a conundrum in the making.

And that bit about that poet guy reminded of another song:

Oscar Wilde died in bed
Several floors above my head
Living well beyond his means
In that crazy Paris scene
Rain falls down in sheets so clear
No one ever calls me here
Traveling by my self these days
I'm into jazz and felt berets
Far from the that old eastern shore
Searching for strange metaphors

This is where I always start singing along:

I don't want to be another victim of fashion
I don't want to see my name in the paper each day
Leave that to the young Turks
They're more handsome and dashing
Posing for paparazzis down Laguna way
Down in the metro I feel the world start to multiply
Bastille, rubber wheels, spiked heels, subterranean lullaby
Met an African prancer, a hemisphere dancer
Spied the ghost of Brassens
We smiled at the secret we shared
And I hid it like contraband

And the Chorus!

Quietly making noise, making noise
Starts with kindergarten toys
Not too soft not too loud
Just enough to draw a crowd
Quietly, quietly, quietly making noise!

Well that cheered me right up! biggrin.gif Parrothead-ism cures my blues.

Game Over, if that story is your idea of a romance, then wow, I don't really know what to say to that, besides that I'm not the only one around here who should get out a bit more. Believe it or not, I mean that in a good way.

Still, you're right: there's very little in the world worth taking completely seriously. And while there's nothing I can do about the missing chromosome, I'm sure you have plenty of Brain Cells in that chrome dome of yours. Friends now?

I'm pretty much speechless right now.

OK, I'm out for a while.

Good luck.

Im curious how many times you've mentioned Oscar Wilde in the time you've been here, it's gotta be close to 100.

Well I would ask you out but two things stop me,

1) I'm more of a Tekken guy I owned Soul Caliber 2 but I COMPLETLY sucked at it.

2) Different countries and long distance relationships dont work.

Shame really. blushing.gif

A really effective strategy over the internet, to be sure.

And Casual, for what it's worth, I don't even own Soul Caliber, I would just mash buttons and seemed to do alright. Thanks for the kind words.

Hey, if you can accuse me of a vague and sure-to-be-doomed attempt at "romance," Gobbler can accuse you of attempting to somehow get me drunk. Over the internet.

You guys are definitely some of the odder forumites I've ever encountered.

That's a tad hypocritical, is it not? Shame on you. Shame! We're just very different from the normal forum mindset. And there is often a lot of being persnickety about the most minor of details.
Internet romance also makes me think of "cybering", the most entertaining opportunity for ruining a girl's week over IRC.
