I'd be interested in reading the actual article, if you know where to find that.

it should be on msnbc in international news, or anywhere else.

Yeah, you'd be surprised how few articles show up when you use anything that article has to say in a search. Most of what international news has to say today involves Castro and earthquakes, and only 2 articles popped up when I searched for "Serbia" and "Rice" - neither of which seemed to mesh with that parody. I'm interested in reading the actual story as opposed to the oh-so-hilarious version that you posted, but I don't have the time to sift through hundreds of international news articles just to get there.

Rice wasnt involved. But heres a warning from some US diplomat that says, and I quote "it better not happen again" hehe.

The reports of a burned corpse found in the embassy are more wide spread and it actually was a serbian rioter.

...

See, I knew about the riot/burned embassy. That entire parody had more random in it than fact or funny and it's quite confusing. It made it sound like there were other developments in conjunction with the embassy stuff... No offense meant, it has potential I guess, but I think I just don't really understand the humour in adding a whole bunch of stuff that makes it seem like it's referencing a story that didn't happen. The quote "It better not happen again" should totally be in the parody and cited though. That's rich right there. tongue.gif

Good job, JM! I totally lol’d.

As I was reading your article this came to mind:

Rice: This is blasphemy! This is madness!
Rioter: Madness? This… is… SERBIA!
Bush: Serbia!? I thought I was in Kentucky.

Spoon - Just a sneaky suspicion here... but have you not seen 300?

Good job, Cobby.

That's even less logical than the article.

So...

I did this on a whim. Not so much funny, but more...logical. It isn't very fancy or proofread, but I stopped taking pride in my work about two weeks ago.

EDIT: Also, no offense to JM. He has done funny stuff!

Constructive criticism and all.

Orator- Eh its not very good. I just happened to notice a few paralells between the current situation and a silly scene in 300 so I did some photoshopping. To be honest I dont think either of our jokes have enough steam for a full article. I wanted to fit in waht that Cameron chap said but it just didnt gel with the theme of my story. I'm just getting back into writing for the site so the next article should be better. Especially since its a review.

Cobnat- I think you're thinking of your forums, or, as we call them here, "The Saddest Place on Earth"

Enjoy the scorn, and thanks for reading the article and such.

Your wrote that, JM? Nice job. I think we have to agree that Uncyclopedia is the best thing to happen to the Internet. Especially their article on Fisher Price. I keep thinking about writing another article on there, but I never get around to it.

Seems your news got huffed, Orator.

Ah - movie humour? Would explain why I didn't get it. I understood the reference to "SPARTAAAA" because everyone was shouting it forever but I guess I didn't expect the joke to be carried through the whole thing. Still don't understand why Rice was brought into the picture - was someone with her same title doing that kind of thing in the movie or something?

Persians sent an ambassador to greece, sparta decided to kill the guy (who was black, thus Ms Rice's head on his shoulders) and then got all pissed off and fucked shit up. Most quotes in the article are taken directly or paraphrased from 300. Cuz its a similiar situation which is sorta funny.
