If you live in the northern hemisphere and have clear skies, go outside and watch the eclipse right now! It peaks around 10pm and it's already almost complete. Don't sit there reading this topic; go outside!

Edit: Well, northern hemisphere and dark, so mostly the Americas.

I'm watching it smile.gif It's very pretty. For once we're having a very clear and star-full sky, perfect for watching the eclipse. Yay!
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

For me, it's Solar or nothin'. Kidding. It was nice. The reflection of all of our planet's simultaneous sunrises and sunsets.

Looking at the larger curve of Earth's shadow on the moon, it's easy to imagine a Very Large Earth shadow being cast into space. mellow.gif

Bah. It got instantly cloudy and started dumping lake effect snow on Rochester at around 9:30, so I missed the best parts. sad.gif

For me, it's just the moon. Besides I was at school until god-knows-what-time last night trying to wrap up midterm assignments. MySQL scripting trumps lunar eclipse.

I watched as much as I could with being as sick as I was. Was like 8 degrees (Fahrenheit) and I had to walk across a parking lot to see the moon. Was interesting to watch. It inspires a sense of real movement on a cosmic scale. Everything else just seems so static.

Yes, yes it did.

TruJade, the moon is red if you're able to see it when it's very close to the horizon. At least where I live. If it's a little higher in the sky, it's yellow.
