Yahtzee's huge on social news sites like digg, resulting in anything mentioning his name being dugg the hell out of. Fortunately, that makes it easy for me to find it, copy-paste the link over here, and pretend I've done something useful.

http://www.destructo...haw-69631.phtml

So there you have it, something Yahtzee actually likes. I hate email, telephones, or any other form of human communication that can be traced back to me with extreme prejudice, so I'll try and mop up some of the bile prevalent on the board right here:
Yahtzee, I really enjoy all of your work, even if some of your turns of phrase leave my 1950s era ears bleeding. I'm still a fan of Trilby and I'm glad to see you finally get the recognition you deserve.

You may now all mock me.

You heard her, let's all mock- ahh, hell, whatever, maybe an emotional thread really is in order again.

So, Yahtzee, yadda yadda, you're no god, but you certainly are soothingly down to earth which is the most admirable trait imaginable in my opinion, and I still have mixed feelings about Chzo and all but we're getting along as long as I don't have to pay his optometrist's bill.

The floor shall be given to the next person thinking he or she will be able to stay halfway on topic.

I thank Yahtzee because, well, he gave me a reason to not sleep through Wednsday.

Usually there's one thing on the internet, series, I get hooked on. First one probably being Joe zombie from when Stick Figure videos were as popular as tits.

Well, there hasn't really been any good series of anything since then. Web comics...ok, the first 100 pages are funny but you never finish the damn things since everyone stops giving a shit.

Maddox, Tucker Max, would be nice if they updated their sites every couple years.

AVGN, yeah, immature, but I like it. Though it has gotten bland and every episode is usually the same ASS over and over.

So now I discover Fullyramblomatic from a link talking about 7 days a Skeptic. Well, after playing the hell outta Chzo Mythos, I actually looked at Yahtzees site and realized it wasn't a giant mirror for his games, and behold, this fucker is funny. It was odd, he didn't shout out ASS when something bothered him and he wore a cool hat, this was something I could get into I thought to myself.

So I watched his review, read his comics (Which weren't of biblical proportions, thank god) and knew that I just found a place to spend 5 minutes every Wednesday, and want to thank you Yahtzee, because I'd probably be doing something like saving a kitten from a tree or freeing Tibet with that time.

Well I was introduced to ZP by the same guy who introduced me to CAD and this goes a long way to me finally forgiving him for that. I mean CAD is like watching someone vomiting; its disgusting and you're repulsed by it but you still can't look away from the horror. I'll probably never forgive the fucker for sending me there in the first place. But I really enjoy Yahtzee’s full of bile writing style I’m glad to see he’s getting some proper journalism work I just wish it was in a country where I could buy it.

QUOTE
Yahtzee: I do believe that games are art. That's part of my passion for them, and why I distrust people who only seem to be in them for the money. I think it was Ebert who said that games can never be art because of the need for player interaction, but what did he know, the big fat chinless git? For me, that's just what makes them so unique and fascinating as an art form. I love games that truly explore the possibilities of a user-driven art form, generally games that mesh gameplay and story well, rather than just interrupting the shooting for a cut-scene every now and again.

Me and Yahtzee have something in common.

Keep up the good work, Yahtzee.

QUOTE
Yahtzee: Here's the thought that comforts me. People like Jack Thompson are the same sort of people who decried comic books, rock music, women's suffrage, films, theatre, novels. None of their influence remains today because they were usually the older generation, and the good thing about the older generation is that they eventually die. Leaving us, the younger generation, to pass on our values to the generation that follows. It's just a fact that old fogies are scared of change because it makes them feel like they've lost control of the world, and they justify their prejudice with whatever they can latch onto. The struggles of a new media are always temporary. You shouldn't let it bother you.

That interview was crap.

Then again the standard of writing present on Destructoid is pretty abysmal so there's nothing out of the ordinary there.

My little brother introduced me to ZP. The first one I saw was the Medal of Honor one. That one is still my favorite.

And, to stay on topic, I didn't read the interview, but through the little quotes that were quoted, I'd have to totally agree with Yahtzee on game being art and Jack Thompson being an old fogie.

I like Yahtzee for two reasons:

1) He makes stuff that is fun

2) He makes stuff that is funny

The end.
