This seems like exactly the sort of thing that Yahtzee would object to being on his website.

And the film should be shot in sepia, because real life was in sepia in the 1990s.

I don't think he'd object to it, as the ads give him money. Even if it's only a little money. It's still money.

Yes, maybe I forgot about his overwhelming avarice...

1) adblock.mozdev.org

2) I'm pretty sure the ads go to offsetting hosting costs, and not to Yahtzee's wallet. Still, I'm sure he wouldn't object to it, since Chefelf hosts the site.

You can place 100% of the blame on me. As with most any site we have no idea about what ads are going to be displayed as they're entirely dependent on the content of the page. For example, this page right now has an ad for Star Wars collectibles. Earlier it showed something about some Christian Youth program.

Also, the ads on Yahtzee's site generate a tiny amount of money to offset a huge cost given the enormous amount of traffic that it gets.

There are 4,872 different ways to block ads if they annoy you. Ninja Duck just linked to one. Check it out if the ad annoys you so much.

Who cares? It’s a stupid ad whose presence allows you all the entertainment of fullyramblomatic for free. Would you rather remove the ads and have to pay a subscription?

Seconded. Websites cost money. They cost a lot of money when they are on the receiving end of God-knows-how-much traffic. Thus the need for advertising on websites.
And like I've said a few times, I don't even remember what internet advertising looks like anymore. I haven't seen an ad online for a good few years now, and it's marvelously simple to do so yourself.

Ninjaduck, I just want to personally thank you for the adblock suggestion. I've tried other stuff that failed miserably, but now I'm using adblock with Filter G (which updates automatically) and now I can't find an ad to save my life.

Just thought I'd show some appreciation in this cesspool of ungrateful whelps.

Whoa whoa whoa, when did this get misconstrued to me complaining about the presence of the ads? I couldn't give a shit as long as they aren't pop-ups. I just thought it would be funny to imagine Yahtzee's chagrin at seeing that on his front page.

I used to be an advocate for Firefox until it became redundant because everyone uses it now anyway. Glad I could help.

I had a friend who did that. It was annoying as hell. tongue.gif I use it anyway, though.

And off topic, but nice icon.
