Okay, here's what happened.

To make sure no one had beaten me to it, I searched "Freddy Jason Ash" in the search bar because I'm lazy.

And it turns out for some unknown-even-to-God reason, the search searches exact phrase only.

I apologize anyway.

I assumed (quite correctly) that as soon as people found out about it they would post it here, since it is relevent to the site. Furthermore, if someone hadn't posted about I would have no reason to believe a group of maybe seventy-five people from all over the world would know about a six-part comic book series published by a small division of DC, and therefore no reason to think that I was the last to know, based on the (false) evidence for which I have already apologized.

Also, none of the people I had told (including the people that were currently in the FR IRC room) had heard of it yet.

It seems I associate only with slowpokes.
