It's alright, mate. From now, i'll do two versions of the script. one male, one female.

EDIT - I just started a separate script, that of the scenes with Matthew and such. They will NOT be part of the main script, as i do not yet know where they will go.

Since you can't read as much epic amounts as you can in a game, it's necessary to tell more of the story visually. This is ripped from Notes, and took me 2 hours to do, straight.

Now, im gonna go to bed.

Make it a musical. Actually, don't. I will. And I'm gonna do it awesome. Okay, I'm gonna wing this so bear with me.

Cast of Characters;

TRILBY: Male, caucasian, late twenties-mid thirties. Vocal range- Baritone. Acrobatics and tap-dancing experience required.

SIMONE TAYLOR: Female, all races, thirties. Vocal range- Mezzo-soprano.

PHILLIP/RODERICK DEFOE: Male, all races, late thirties-early fourties. Vocal range- baritone

JIM/WILLIAM DEFOE: male, all races, 15-17. Vocal range- tenor

WELDER: male, all races, all ages. Vocal range- bass (if he sings at all)

I will continue this idea later.

Sniffles, as much as I love musicals - no. Go and watch the documentary about "A shoggoth on the roof" on the H.P.Lovecraft Historical Society. Do you think you want to end up in some creepy case like that, so people will have to go around making an investigation and a documentary about what happened to you?

And the film should be shot in sepia, because real life was in sepia in the 1990s.

I'm not sure I could bear to see anything I enjoyed so much abused in such a fashion. So 5 days the musical - no. Just no.

So this baby, while still inside its mother, murdered his twin brother and STOLE HIS PENIS.

That is one badass baby.

Relax a little, people. If you're unsure about whether dark subject matter can be used in a musical medium to obtain humorous results, may I direct you...

Here?

Besides, I'm sure the comment was made in jest.

Pft, there's a musical based on Evil Dead. It's not a problem converting 5 Days into a musical. And even though it probably WAS a joke - still no.

D:

I hate musicals >_<
Still, it'd be a laugh, haha.
And I'd say I have just the right range for Trilby.

This won't do as a movie script. It's too game-like, Trilby talks too much and does a lot things that would be irrelevant in a film.

Tell you what.
I feel a bit of friendly competition is in order.
I'll pull together my own script. Film it in a few months time. I'll post it up here and there, let the great Anonymous decide which is better.
If it goes nowhere, then it goes nowhere, but hopefully I can cause enough of a stir to get my director mate to actually do something with it.

I saw Evil Dead The Musical off-broadway last year, and it was the greatest thing since... ever. It's too bad it closed. In fact, that was my inspiration for the idea of the 5DAS musical.

And I'm making that fucking musical. I don't need your god damn approval, people. Even if I have to play all the parts and write all the music and supply all the costumes and run the refreshment stand, it's making it to Broadway, and there's gonna be a Tony Award with my name on it.

As good as this all is, why has nobody made this yet!? It's even a Yahtzee script, based on horror! If only I had a camera and wasn't, y'know, socially rejected...
