Snake Logan
QUOTE
A new American president is not allowed to change anything because Americans are drunk with the idea that their constitution should not be changed even after 200 years. American presidents are nothing more then figure heads for everyone to point and boo at.

While I agree most presidents are just extentions of their corporate cronies, I disagree that the constitution should be changed simply for the sake of making change. This word has been a rallying cry for our healthcare, direction in war, and the sinking dollar. The things we're doing now don't work, so obviously we need to change something.

Democracy hasn't over stayed it's visit with Americans. At most, the oldest man in America has lived with democracy for about 100 odd years. I've been living with it for less. I've never once thought "i need less say in my system".

QUOTE
In other parts of the world that have been living under other types of governments, democracy means something, it means change

And I highly doubt 'change' is what they love. Change is a buzzword used by Obama and now adopted by you. The working class who endured and out-lived communist or facist regiemes usually understand that democracy is less violent and less controlling.

Change something but not the law? What do you wish to change then?

You don’t matter. What you want doesn’t matter. Only what the majority wants matters. What the majority wants isn’t always what is needed. Democracy is populist nonsense.

And thus a change.

You've missed my point(s) entirely and I doubt explaining them will help, so I'm just going to point that out.

Woah, wait. Since when was the Constitution the only law in the US? Totally awesome. I must now log off so I may get high and then dance naked in the streets, because those are not banned by the Constitution.

And I'd like to point out that it HAS changed. Unless the US sprang into being with all those amendments tacked onto the Constitution.

Finally, this is just me being curious you understand, but I'm forced to ask, are you suggesting that the US abandon democracy because we're too used to it?

That is exactly what he's purposing. We need something new, like change!

I've read enough of his posts to safely assume he's a forum troll.

Indeed. Is that so surprising to you? Do you really wish for your government to remain stagnant like the French national anthem?

Yes, I want my government to remain a democracy and I don't want any major changes to 99% of the laws we have. LIghter punishment to drugs and thats about it.

I'm not going to bother, you'll just respond to my paragraph of work with an automated counter point that consists of 1 sentence.

Why don't you prove to me in a few paragraphs of text why democracy is bad, you do the work and tell us your stance, troll.

Sorry troll, I'm not biting. Give me at least 2 paragraphs of argument. Unless you put in the time I'm not going to either.

I'm not sure what Mister Logan is thinking here, but I like my country just fine. It's never really given me more problems than other countries could. I believe our laws are pretty much fair, and if you study it, our judicial system is actually pretty fair. I don't think an end to democracy is what anyone was ever thinking. Now, as far as future presidents, I support Huckabee. Don't ask me why, I don't have the slightest idea.

We carry a harpoon
But there ain't no whales so we tell tall tales
And sing a whaling tune
