If I'm honest my first 360 *cough* broke 4 hours after I got it home BUT the one I have now has had no problems (fingers crossed) for more than a year. The trick is to keep it in a clean very well ventilated place.

Like I said I'm no fanboy so I won’t sit here and deny it has reliability issues but the game line up is the best of the 3 (so far) and I think the basic design flaws have been fixed in the newer models. But I certainly agree that Microsoft no doubt knew fine well about the consoles problems at launch but went ahead anyway to beat Sony to the punch. But that’s what they do with all their other products so I don’t know why any of us were surprised.
