Does Yahtzee having to remind us that he isn't gay mean that he couldn't think of much to say about the thing he was reviewing?

Or did he jsut get bored with reviewing in his reviews after so long?

actually one of his points is incorrect

he says there is no co-op quickplay option however that is not an accurate statement.

on the main menu go to Multiplayer, then Co-Op. any unlocked songs are playable in this option. So the quickplay feature is still there, just hidden in the multiplayer feature (who wouldve thought to look there right?)

ps. I enjoy all of his reviews, mans funny, and 90% of his reviews are accurate in a rude awakening sort of way.

One of Yahtzees best I would say, I too found the jump from easy to medium excrutiating because of the need to use my little finger. I love GH apart from the fact it indruduces two major new annoyances in my life.

Firstly the annoying fools who say "why dont you learn to play a REAL guitar lolz" to which I say for the same reason I play call of duty instead of enlisting.

Secondly the freaks who think because they can 100% Dragon Force on hard I'm a dumbarse for not being able to do it too.

I saw some gameplay footage and I've read about Guitar Hero. Looks painful, I think I'll stick to my actual guitar, thank you...

Not that there's anything wrong with playing the game instead of learning to play the actual instrument, it's just easier to picture yourself in a concert with a real guitar in your hands, and thus, you'll feel cooler.

Also, how do you think a girl would react if you'd tell her "I play an electric guitar". Now picture what she would say if you'd tell her "I play Guitar Hero".
"Once upon a time, musta been 'round October, few years back, in one o' dose TOP SECRET LAB-MOTORIES de gubbnint keep stashed away underneath Virginia, an EVIL PRINCE, occasion'ly employed as a part-time THEATRICAL CRITICIZER set to woikin' on a plot fo de systematic GENOCIDICAL REMOVE'LANCE of all unwanted highly-rhythmic individj'lls an' sissy-boys!" I played Guitar hero 3 today, for the Wii. It was kinda fun, because it had Cream and stuff. But I won't buy it. I'm Chinese.

It's retarded to compare a musical instrument to a videogame, innit? Hypothetically, if you wanted to woo someone, would you proudly tell her which games you enjoy playing?

As a guitar player myself, and an avid fan of rhythm games, GH is still a lot of damn fun to play.
To be honest, there's such little similarity playing GH to actually playing a real guitar it's a stupid point to fight over. GH is little more, in the end, than a colour-matching game to a beat.
It's essentially not any different to a dance machine.

But... there is just something about nailing Knights Of Cydonia in GH3 that is satisfying.
I suppose like any game, completing something on a higher difficulty is gratifying.

Smashed up my sanity.
Smashed up my integrity.
Smashed up what I believed in,
Smashed up what's left of me.
Smashed up my everything,
Smashed up all I thought was true,
'gonna smash myself to pieces,
I don't know what else to do.

Quite so. Also, Dan brought it up, therefore it must be.

Well there are quite a lot people out there who enjoy social gaming and prefer people who can admit to having their childish and fun sides instead of going on about how they can play some kind of instrument half-assedly and demand a shrine to be build in their honour.

I think especially in times of American Idol and all those other shows, it's probably best to distance you from that whole music business anyway...

And you probably should try to avoid mentioning that you've played through the Postal series too.

Well, if she was a games designer or something, maybe it might work.

Hmm...didn't work on Yahtzee though, did it, he's sick of all those "ur games is teh awesome iwant ur babiez!!!!!!111111111shifteleventyone" posts...

Though, that's probably just an act...Yahtzee, it's ok if you're not gay.

GH is one of the few games that (some) girls dont look down on you for playing acualy, in my experiance they either want a go themselves or their happy to sit and watch you look like a tit with a small plastic guitar.
