Star Wars hasn't made me laugh since Chewie scared that mouse robot thing in the Death Star. The funniest thing since then was Padme's death scene. Seriously. Can Star Wars Comedy be saved? In this thread we'll try.

Let's begin with the Ewok's worst nightmare:

(George Lucas will recognize the marketing potential here and tell us he planned for Squirrel Jedi's from the very beginning, but had to cut it due to story length problems.)

Nice. If you find Padme's death funny, you should look back at Anakin's mother falling limp mid-sentence. "I love you... I love you... I lo... *limp like a fish*" What happened there?! lol Or even the uelogy scene where Owen and Berut are as equally confused as most of the audience.

I can't stop laughing at the death of the Jedi in EP III, especially the Kel'Dor that flies the starfighter and crashes it into some building after being gunned down by a clone trooper.

Ahhh, good stuff indeed.

What can I say, I sound like a Sith.

The Smee thing was just weird. And I kept staring at Owen and thinking 'CGI Amputee!' Talk about distracting.

I do confess I laughed when Yoda met Chewbacca, but it was more the sort of laugh when the doctor gives you a fatal diagnosis.

Today's funny picture won't make you laugh as such, but it's still funnier than four hours of Jar Jar Binks:

That pic doesn't make any sense!

Ah well, most of the PT doesn't either, because they have the OT to fall back on. But, I kid you not, Lucas even said in the Special Features Documentary on EP III, "Well if it doesn't make sense here, then we can always change it in the OT." Seriously! He knows what he's doing and doesn't care for a fanbase.

At Chefelf people have beat their heads against walls for years trying to understand this. In the end I think we realized trying to understand George Lucas isn't possible, because he doesn't make sense. Same for trying to get him to admit he changed things; he won't. It's like arguing with a madman.

I recommend this awesome (free) ebook by Michael Kaminski where he shows how George Lucas contradicts himself left-right-and-center when he tries to explain 'It was always about the Tragedy of Darth Vader'. You can nail any fanboys hide to the wall with this beauty: http://secrethistoryofstarwars.com/

But before you head there, check out this short Star Wars H4X movie:

I can't direct link to it, so so you'll need to download to watch it: Click on the picture, Request Ticket, Download and then watch it.

Kind of funny story behind this too. The above GIF was on a very politically incorrect site, which happens to have a Star Wars section. I originally posted a link to this, with a warning *not* to look at the rest of the site. Turns out on the net whether you tell someone not to do something, they'll do it. Naturally someone did, and AFAIK this was the only time a post was ever taken down on ChefElf. Of course used reverse psych and dared people to look at the site, they still would have looked at it anyway! Can't win!!! Anyway, enjoy!

It's in the archive. The thread is still there; just edited out, and can't blame ChefElf for not wanting to be associated with that site either.

Thanks Toru-chan, I'm downloading the ebook now, and the vid was amusing.

I've read that thread where you posted that link, but alas, my time away from here has cost me. If you don't mind, pm me this link, I'd like to see what all this is about. I'm not easily offended by anything, and I'm not very politically correct myself.

Hey, if it's all for a good laugh, then it was worth it.

Now, back to some Star Wars rippery and poking fun at poor writing!

PM sent!

Now lets us return to the serious business of mocking Star Wars:

In regards to the picture, if a person likes SW fine, but don't abuse your pets with it. Especially cats!

I downloaded the ebook and I'm on page 79 already and I must say, this clears up quite a bit so far. I like how it's even pointed out that Lucas went back over things that aren't true at all, and made us think that all of the writing for SW was easy. This project almost killed him! And then he couldn't even get it right!

As for the PM sent, ahhh, I'm guessing it was intercepted because the link went nowhere. Don't worry about it. I thank you anyway.

laugh.gif Ohh man! Picture one is insane! I'm sure Lucas has thought of that too at some point.

Picture two is cool. Makes you think "Why didn't Vader utilize everything he had to win?" That would be more Sith like.

Pic three is alright, I get it, but Pic one is still my fav.

Even Stormtroopers have to eat...

But then there's that damned helmet...

You could probably make a thousand strips like this out of Chef Elf's lists.

Maybe next 'Special Edition'?

Awwwwwwww....
