'Don't know if this has been discussed already blushing.gif , but I've caught the latest trailer for HC's latest attempt to garner anyone's attention dry.gif ...The funniest part to me is when he yells at Jessica Alba. "They're trying to kill me!!!!!"...when i heard that, I thought to myself (quasi-humorously) rolleyes.gif ..."That's what the rest of us have been trying to do for the last...oh, I don't know...FIVE YEARS!!!...but apparently you're quite wiley like you old man, GL..." devil.gif ...Apparently only a few fake doctors in a crappy film have been the group that has gotten close to accomplishing this goal...crying.gif...I know this prolly ain't much of a topic for discussion, but I wanted to see what everyone else's feelings were concerning this...

Never saw it...just never could come up with a reason to see any his films...after what he did to Star Wars...I kinda find it interesting, though, that unless some moron like GL rescues this loser, he barely gets any attention...seems like, no matter how many other films he does, he'll forever be known as 'The Guy Who Really Killed Vader And Helped Murder Star Wars'...or perhaps just 'That Guy' (apart from Lucas)...at least to some of us...

So RandomThoughts is trying to get everyone to pointlessly bash Hayden Christensen?

Sure. Hayden Christensen should be shot dead, or killed violently some other way, with his blood sprayed out onto the streets War of the Worlds remake style. He's ugly as a mule, smells like a sock and is dumb as a button!

Is that the stuff you're looking for RandomThoughts?

Because Hayden Christensen is just an actor, and Darth Vader was just a part he played. If you didn't notice, everyone gives the same mediocre-level performance under the direction of George Lucas in the new trilogy. That includes Liam Neeson, Sam Jackson, Natalie Portman, etc.

Christensen was great in Shattered Glass, good in Factory Girl and...well, Jumper looks dumb (like 2006's The Covenant), but Sam Jackson (reunited!) looks the silliest in that.

I bet RandomThoughts is the sort who spent the entire late 90s making snide jokes at the expense of Leonardo Di-CRAP-io, hoping someone would praise him for going after a person he's never met just because its popular to do so.

I've been saying this for a while. There's nothing wrong with Hayden Christensen. He's just too new and inexperienced to undo or counter the work of a bad director.

he wanted to redo many of the takes during eps 2 and 3 but Lucas wouldn't allow any delay to keep him from post production.

Sorry for the double post blushing.gif ...but I actually thought DiCaprio would've made a far better Anakin, especially with his experience in the romance industry, so to speak...I guess I'd also have to agree with the comments on GL's affect on other actors/actresses performance, seeing as there is some apparent evidence to counter my previous judgement of HC's acting ability...maybe I'll check out some of his other works... mellow.gif

DiCaprio!?!?!?!?
NO way no matter what you think of Hayden
Leo is worse not better at least to play Anakin.

Aside from that forgivable bit of insanity
Though i think you should see Shattered Glass
Hayden looks nothing like him but its real good.

My Life As A House is possible the best HC film
i've ever seen and will ever see.
but Jumper looks interesting so does 'Awake'.

I think he could move up in Hollywood

What about Heath Ledger? Anywhooo...quick question, what hasn't been discussed about the PT, that I could perhaps get in on, to avoid seeming redundant?....

I'm pretty sure its all been said before. At least in some corner of the forums. I find it best to sit down and actually try to stomach the PT for at least 10 minutes, until the hatred resurfaces and you need a creative outlet for your rage. Usually in that time span, you can find something good to bitch about, even if it has been said before. If nothing else, you may have a shiny new opinion about something that might spark a discussion. If you really want a good argument, start defending the PT. I double dog dare you.

Oh oh let me try.

George Lucas is a masterful genius.
His writing and directing skills are top grade
in the industry.

and the PT should be vinidcated as one
of the best films of our time

Maybe I should change the topic of this thread, if that's even possible (since the bashing is over, on my part, at least) blushing.gif ...BTW, I'm not going to challenge you, 'cause somehow, I know you're not serious about that...also, concerning EP II, did anyone else expect the clone army to be made up of Mandalorians, minus of course, Jango/Boba sick.gif , facing off against a heavily outnumbered Jedi Order and Republic military? For a while there it seemed that some rumors were floating around, back in '00-'02 that this was going to be the case...mighta been cool, IMO, that and (as a valid reason for Anakin's downfall) a percieved love triangle with a new character in the place of OB1...or perhaps something akin to Children of Dune, where Anakin, in a gesture of nobility, decides to suffer a fall to the dark side, for the good of the unverse...My writing's kinda broken in style...hence my name....

RandomThoughts

P.S.: My idea for a new title: How could Episode II been saved...oh wait, that's already been discussed blushing.gif ...rant away!... wacko.gif

Why the heck should the clone army be made up of Mandalorians? I've never really 'got' this idea. I've got nothing against it as such; I just don't really see any reason for it either, aside from the fact that everyone thinks Boba Fett is incredibly cool. Why shouldn't the clones just be normal humans with some kind of genetic enhancements, or another species altogether? (That's assuming the Mandalorians are actually humans, and not a separate species; I haven't seen conclusive evidence either way.)

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

My understanding was that they were humans with some sort of genetic modifications blush.gif ...Boba Fett may have been kinda cool, at least with his show of cunning in ESB, but showing him as a kid and some sort of major character was a bit much angry.gif ...I kinda thought he was one of the left-over clone troopers from this period...I thought o f this way before the PT (back during the 'Era of Speculations and Dreams'...BTW, is there a way to change the topic of this thread to 'Random Rants', 'cause I geuss I didn't mean to have an entire discussion on whether or not to bash some dude I really don't know...BTW, how would you have set up Ep II, besides having Anakin not be a whiny bitch rolleyes.gif ?

My only issue with ol' Hayden is that he never looks clean. He's not ruggedly filthy, he just looks kinda...slimy.
"The problem is, you're not a kangaroo... that's a bear... and he's in your pants."
"Maybe artists shouldn't talk about their art."
"Well kids, I guess your father isn't a hermaphrodite."
"Izzy! enough with the rabid smootching!!"
