Bloke didn't bother to check the limitations of the AGS engine, but he does raise some valid points and I think it's funny.

To be honest, I think I've taken an instant dis-like to this guys voice. And complete lack of imagination. It was kinda obvious that somebody would do this, and my theory that it would be an American and that it would be irritating are proved whole-heartedly correct. Also his complete lack of knowledge as to what this game was about, as in using AGS to create a game like this, irritates me. And obviously Monty Python is the only funny thing to ever come out of Britain.
Was it just me or was he a little camp? And a bit of a stereotype?

Nicely done, in my humble opinion.

I'm actually pretty amazed how this happened this late. I was expecting these wanna-be videos to be publihed a month or two earlier...

It was funny, but only a little bit. The voice was too messy as he had 0,8 liters of spit in mouth, the accent wasn't good and there were too many pictures for a ZP review. Yes, he had some good points, but nothing not-yet-mentioned, though.

Meh, wasn't anything special. Chap was annoying and it wasn't really funny. But good to see that Yahtzees stuff has become well enough known that people are starting to care enough to rip into it.

That wasn't horribly awful. I'm surprised. The bits where I actually understood what he was saying had good points although he mostly wasn't funny about it and when he was it wasn't very funny. He emulated the style well which I'm still not sure is a good thing.

Hang on. Hang on, though.

In this thread, we're reviewing

a review

of a video game

made by a famed reviewer

in the review style of said famed reviewer.

This is like one of those "Remember when we sat around and remembered things?" episodes of american sitcoms. How long until someone starts reviewing every episode of Zero Punctuation? Oh wait, we do that already.

I'm going to bugger out because my head hurts now.

I liked it. I know, you all want to tear me apart, but I stand by my opinion. I've seen some pretty shitty imitation videos (for other stuff), and this wasn't bad.

Hmm... The concept of someone attempting to Yahtzee Yahtzee himself is humourous and he did an okay job in parodying ZP, however as biased as my opinion may be I think he should have played the game a little more thoroughly and done some research on the matter as opposed to simply playing it for a bit and then allowing verbal diarrhea to spill forth from his lips. Some of the pictures went by too quickly for me to watch but then again it is common knowledge that I have the hand-eye coordination of a flatulent camel. Aside from that the video did have some merits and was genuinely funny in places; but when it all boils down to it Yahtz still kicks vast and unimagined quantities of ass in some kind of gigantic subterranean ass cavern and the Some Punctuation parody is a one-inch wonderturkey in comparison. Also the sound of the guy's voice at that speed and tone was grating nerves I didn't know existed and the sound of a rabid midget on an acid trip sticking his dick in a bacon slicer would be preferable. All in all funny for a few moments and then it's time to change the channel. I give Some Punctuation two potatoes, and a fart.

Okay, I gotta admit. That was kinda fun.

Since when does Yahtzee thoroughly complete and investigate the games he reviews? He's reviewed demos of games before, and has admitted to not playing every component to a game, even those as integral as multiplayer in Halo 3. I'm not bashing Yahtzee, I just find it unfair to take off points from this twerp for something Yahtzee does all the time, although he explains why he didn't bother doing something, and does so in a much funnier way.

Now onto the topic, I didn't like the video very much. Mostly because of the reviewer's voice. It's not so much annoying as it was an actual chore to listen to. His elocution was god-awful, he said "Trilly" instead of "Trilby". He seems like the kind of person I'd have trouble understanding if he were speaking at a normal speed. There were some clever parts, however, like the umbrella bit, but most of his jokes were either referencing something too obscure or were not well-presented, or both. His criticisms were rather petty, and (although I'm being a hypocrite for saying this) he wouldn't have included them had he actually finished the game. Maybe I'll review his review and call it "Punctuation. Galore.", and speak very slowly, and clearly, and point out everything wrong he did with his review. And then Yahtzee can my review my review of a review and complete the cycle and the world can end.

Anyone see the end message of the newest Zero Punctuation episode? Because I think we all know Yahtzee's opinion on this, now.

His review was alright. I didn't think his voice was annoying at all, but the review itself did seem to drag on a little bit. Good attempt, but he should've studied the source material a little more.

That's Yahtzee's way of saying that he loves you.

I'm basically repeating everyone here, but the review wasn't bad, could have been better. And there was no author insertion and Trilby didn't fall in love with anyone, so there's nothing to complain about.

I like his theory that Yahtzee is using digital means to speed up his voice and his failure to realize that you don't have to hold the wall hug button down.
