According to everything I've heard, this film adaption of Agent 47's murderous antics sucks out loud. I had my major doubts when I got a good look at the actor who was to be portraying this ruthless killer;
...What the fuck? He doesn't even remotely resemble 47. The younger brother from American History X looks more like 47 than he does. They could have at least gotten the guy from the Transporter.

No, but just based on looks, Vinnie Jones bares a bit of a resemblence.

I can't make any promises but
the plan is to see it tomorrow
I don't think at this point his looks are really that important
just as long as he kicks some serious ass.
Besides this is hollywood
if they can have someone who looks great
with no acting talent (not that Oliphant has none)
that guy will easily beat out the talented ugly one

Well i just saw it and i must say, the film has its moments
The fights scenes are worth their weight in gold
easily entertaining and bloody. With splendidly
ridiculous gun play that does the video game proud.
Did i mention entertaining?
Very annoying was the directors need to tell you where
the characters were at all times, with little typewriter captions.
Even if it had previously been mentioned
I don't know how many times i saw the words Russia or St. Petersburgs
but it was overkill and you nearly want to scream "WE GET IT!"
On the bright side, i am now properly affluent in Russia scenery.
As for Olyphant (its a 'Y', the 'i' is from the animal (see Lord of the Rings))
he does pretty well for himself
for the most part the performance seems forced
and a bit awkward but i'd watch it again
several times
aside from this the movie stands quite well
And if they make a sequel
b/c you know hollywood they had to leave the ending open
i'd see it.
I truly would, and hopefully
there will be some improvements
