morgan freeman seems to be one of those actors that are only cast in stereotypical roles anymore. he stars in a plethora of films where he is portrayed as a wooden character of authoritive command,..whether his empowerment be militaristic,.or even as God.

he has this emotionless face, this deep monotonous voice. he is played out,.a burn out. so much to the point that merely mentioning any upcoming film starring him in it automatically conjures images of pretty much the type of character role he will play. why? cause he's played the same damn character in the last dozen or so movies. hollywood is on a one track mindset believing he is the only one who can play these type of roles.

tommy lee jones plays similiar roles, but he was also the men in black films, so i know he holds a comedic side as well.

my mind is blank, and i cant seem to think of any other actors/actresses that also seem to only be cast in similiar character roles, over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

..it gets boring after a while.

Well Denzel Washington!
he is usually protrayed as the good guy
excellent father etc,etc
aside from Training Day and perhaps American Gangster.

Oh and Vin Diesel
that guy always has a gun in hand
or is doing something dangerous and unbelievable

Why do you think Jim Carrey is
constantly trying to break into the serious actor category
i.e, Majestic, Enternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Number 23
and im sure the list is longer but its like a trend

so actors like Freeman accept their fate and others try to create
a balance like Steve Carell
Or just try the extreme for fun
. Heck, even Jackie Chan wants to be a "real" actor
They all want what they don't have

How about Jennifer Aniston. All she ever plays is the stupid girlfriend. Her movies are lame.

Sandler plays the lovable loser. Stiller plays the neurotic yuppie loser (most of the time). Vince Vaugn plays the calm, witty loser. Jack Black plays the fat, in-ur-face loser.
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

Aaaah, the Electric Company. Good times.

It seems like the last few years there has been quite a bit of cedric-the-entertainer starring in very cedric-the-entertainer type roles.
