I'm pretty sure you're wrong about how many people it takes to run a farm, but who the hell cares? Make-work projects designed to spend the same money that would have been spent on unemployment benefits, work projects by the way that teach no marketable skills and therefore will not reintroduce the unemployed to the workforce, would be a waste of money. Also, government business means government administration, so taxes would go up, given that process would be more expensive than the unemployment benefits themselves.

I think the economic system is fine; you won't convince me that forced labour and "cannon fodder" (who even runs a war like that anymore?) would be any improvement. Next topic.

I am for: Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb.
I am against: Horton Hears a Hoo.

Exactly what do unemployment benefits do to help introduce the unemployed back into the workforce? If they are unemployed then there is probably a reason, that reason will probably exclude them from future jobs. Yes taxes would go up but its not like that’s a bad thing, people tend to spend whatever extra money they have on pointless things. Before you go off on a rant, keep in mind I think the first class should be taxed more then the second class and the second class more then the third. I don’t know why you think it would be more expensive to feed people then to feed people and give them money. If you want an economic system were everyone is just looking to screw one another over then fine, stick with this one. As for the way a war is fought, not every country on the planet has billions of dollars to spend on tomahawks like America does.

Unemployment benefits prevent people from becoming homeless after they lose a job. This allows them to reintroduce themselves into the workforce. Most people need a month or two to find a decent job, while the same people are about two paycheques away from being unable to pay their rent. So unemployment benefits were designed to prevent permanent unemployment. Many people lose jobs for reasons unrelated to beng useless; reasons ranging from corporate bankruptcy to personal injury spring to mind. I won't bother to explain how a permanent slave economy is more expensive for the government than a system of temporary unemployment insurance. The slave economy has already been tried, and it didn't work, every time.

The tax system you would like, tiered based on icome, is the tax system you already have. As for the army, there is too much involved in training and outfitting even common rank-and-filers to waste it on some hunchback in his forties who lost his manufacturing job when it turned out the Chinese were making the stuff for less.

I am for: pronouns.
I am against: amateurnouns.

I believe the last time I heard of a cannon fodder war strategy was during the Korean War, where the "human wave" tactic was used to overwhelm opponents. It's not viable.

The last time the human wave tactic was used was in Afghanistan by the Taliban. It doesn’t really overwhelm opponents anymore, especially now since armies have automatic weapons. I propose it be used to distract the enemy.

I agree with Dorothy, there shouldn’t be any reality TV shows except for the news and everyone should be bold to keep a tight lid on mating.
