Sounds interesting. If you need help in terms of music, I have done it before and would be willing to give it a bash.

Thanks for the offer, I might look you up when the need arises (ie. the game is completed and I don't think it's utter trash, I don't want any possible collaborators to work in vain). I can't really find good, atmospheric Egyptian themed midi on the net anyway.

Coming from the guy who said he hates Half-Life, this statement saddens me.

Half Life is mediocre at best

Although to be fair I went back and played it on a higher difficulty recently, and I had a lot more fun with all the firefights than I did initally.

I still think it's boring as all fuck most of the time, though :<

Ouch.

Fun gameplay, gripping story, and for its time great graphics.

This seems to be getting slightly off topic, however.

The thread is already ridiculously off topic. We aren't getting it back on track in this lifetime.

Anyway, after sleeping on it, my biggest beef with Half Life apart from the butt physics is that it has a bunch of cool ideas and only like 2 of them are pulled off well. Mischief Makers comes to mind when I play HL, although that game got away with it because the levels the developers didn't do well on aren't fucking chores to play through.

Ok, the Olympics one is, and Aster's Maze is awful, but that's it. And anyway, at the end of the olympics you get to rough up a cat with a dodgeball and then ride it to victory in the following mega-epic boss battle, so that totally makes up for it.
