You see, if I was like MOST furries, I'd be yelling at you.

Fortunately, I'm not. So what I'm doing is smiling slightly and saying "Well, yeah, but YKINMK." Actually, technically it would be MKINYK. But whatever.

a) What!? b) I don't understand, or even try to understand furries or other such internet types but I've seen furry on the internet, and it ain't right! And c) Paper Mario comes where now?

A) YKINMK. Your Kink Is Not My Kink. Or the other way around would be My Kink Is Not Your Kink.

cool.gif MKINYK.

C) This was a tangent. These happen a lot. It's the nature of the FR forums.

Well, nudity is a big thing in a lot of games nowadays, it seems - sex sells and anything that involves copious amounts breasts and/or backside will be big sellers. *coughDeadorAlivecough*

Then again, you're talking to an anime fan who actually had a part-time job writing artwork reviews for those things (probably the coolest job I've ever had, and at the time I hated it - there must be something wrong with me) so my opinion on this matter is no doubt slightly biased - I can admire a well-drawn piece of work as much as the next person; bonus if it happens to be a bit on the titillating side.

But, when it comes down to the crunch that Princess Peach pic that Yahtz used in the video was just.... creepy. I mean it was well drawn and the artistic style suited the characterization that most people have come to imagine for the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom; but the implied nudity (Yahtz DID censor it, or for all I know she's wearing a swimsuit beneath those clunky black blocks) is kinda creepy because it's on a character whose demographic is the complete opposite. It just doesn't fit. It's like watching a penguin go skydiving on the moon... fun to watch but fundamentally wrong.

That said, that had to have been the first time I've seen Peach drawn in a manga-esque fashion and I was impressed with how well it suited; the artist must have worked quite hard to attain that hands-on appearance. Personally I would like to see Mario, Bowser or maybe Kamek drawn in the same style; although I will be praying to every god out there that they will ignore the example set by their beloved princess and keep all of their clothes ON.

And I make no apologies for the bad innuendo. I'm tired and out of scotch.
I'm not pessimistic; I've just realised that the light at the end of the tunnel is an incoming train.

Just open your eyes then, they're everwhere, in the same style, released by Nintendo's lead artists ever since.

In my defense I would like to say that my backwater town has one games shop and the guys running it are Halo fanboys. And I don't think I've ever seen a television advertisement with an anime Mario character in it (I live in Australia). No need to get snarky there Gobbler, I was simply stating a personal observation.

What games have you been playing?

Seriously though, games havn't gone quite the way of out and out nudity yet, and many respectible fanchises try to retain their dignity (Doom, Quake, Half-Life) lay off copious ammounts of flesh, some however seem determined on the scantily clad female sidekick approach (I'm looking at you Halo, don't pretend Cortana's not naked), in fact just looking at all the adverts for Tabula Rasa and I begin to see your point.

Oh noes. Professor Saucy is making fun of my unoriginal choice of topic.

This coming from someone with a Dr McNinja signature and a Jammer Lammy avatar.

I think I can hear my kettle calling.

I just wanted to throw down Yahtzee's take on furries here. Although I believe that if you said something four years ago it doesn't count anymore, here it is for your perusal. http://www.fullyramb.../Y2Oct12-16.htm

Yes, because liking mega super awesome pieces of pop culture is the most horrible offense someone could ever commit in their lives and anyone who does it is a bad person

I like Led Zeppelin, too, do you also have a problem with that?

And anyway, how exactly is Um Jammer Lammy unoriginal? I'm not aware of any other rhythm game wherin you star as an anthropomorphic lamb guitarist who has to use a baby rabbit as an instrument while being vomited on by a giant insect midwife. Fuck, this is one of the only freestyle music games out there, I don't know why there isn't 10 times as much love for it all around.

Also, if there is another comic about a doctor who is also a ninja and has a 12 year old mexican bandit sidekick who rides a raptor, make sure to let me know. I don't want to miss out on anything!

BUT GETTING BACK ON TRACK, this topic has been discussed to death time and time again. Yes, there are an alarming number of oversexed female videogame characters, we've know about this for over a fucking decade. No need to keep beating the remains of what through some act of god might have looked like a dead horse way back in the age of Isildur.

Hell, I have no problems with either the good doctor or the Lammy/Parappa games - I wouldn't know about either unless I was a fan myself (although in my case the Parappa stuff extends only to a trailer featuring Parappa, Master Onion and Gackt, t'was awesomeness) but anyhow. I personally don't have a problem with what stuff you like, I just thought I'd point out that while you were busy making fun of the originality or lack thereof, neither your avvy or sig were original but from other sources. I pointed that out as an irony.

Yes, I'm aware it's a topic that's been done to death. So what? So are politics, terrorism, religion, philosophy, beer, tits and God. I don't care how old, boring or disinteresting the topic might be for some people or even myself; if people want to talk about it then wahoo, excuse me while I grab a handful of two-cent coins to throw in because that's what I do; I like listening to other people's thoughts and sharing my own. But most of all the coolest part is if I don't like what I'm reading, all I have to do is stop reading it.

And since you shared your Led Zeppelin alignment, for the sake of further argument and/or conversation I'm somewhat partial to Daft Punk and the Pet Shop Boys. Make of that what you will. smile.gif

I love Daft Punk :<

But anyway I am sorry I am incapable of drawing my own avatar or signature banner but I didn't know that was a requirement for my arguments to be considered valid

Should I do some fingerpaints or something
