Yes, I must say you did very well to review something like that, but it wasn't the best, although it was probably the best possible for that "game." Funniest moment: "I advise not to Google image search housewives with the filter turned off"

Please feel free to correct me.

Yes, I shall correct you. It is Peggle, not Piggle. If that was some kind of joke, then I missed it.

I like Peggle. Maybe I am a housewife who's not clever enough to play tetris. Peggle is interesting when playing with a friend, but not when playing alone.

Though, one wonders if the same sort of people that watch Yahtzee's reviews play that sort of game.

Yes, at work, for instance.

(Good thing we don't have Terry Tate, though.)

Despite the lack of material to work with, the review still maintained that humorous yet critical vibe that comes with all the other ZP updates.

Which brings me to my next point: Why do some people feel the need to start a thread in the forums for every update Yahtzee makes? I'm sure one thread would be quite enough.

Thanks for the Peggle review Yahtzee. I am really enjoying your ZP reviews!

As it happens, my Mum is a perfect candidate for Pop Cap brainwashing EXCEPT that she's far too tight to actually pay for a game as she can get millions of them for free anyway. I don't see why people would pay for such games to be honest. Having said that, I just bought the Orange Box to see what all the fuss was about with TF2 so I in fact am now the not-so-proud owner of Peggle myself! I suppose I'd better try it out now...

My first thoughts about TF2 tho: mainly I wanted to run back to the comparative safety of CS Source where I only get shot in the head/stabbed in the back 50% of the time rather than every 30secs....

As I age I find my willingness to tolerate the necessary practice to get actually half decent at a game is slowly sapping away...

Perhaps I should stick to Peggle...

PS Loved the Simon Pegg heads! tongue.gif

I know what you mean...there are plenty of great games around that are free, either because they are old and the makers have waved copyright, or they weren't made to make money. Downloading such games is how I came across XDAS, and hence this site.

Well, it's not like we have much Yahtzee related stuff but this anymore...
We're whalers on the moon
We carry a harpoon
But there ain't no whales so we tell tall tales
And sing a whaling tune

Thanks. I haven't played it as I sort of gety bored of these games when they're not free so I just forgot the name. I knew it didn't sound quite right, but I didn't care, hell, look at Tilby's Notes! blushing.gif wink.gif

Yeah, the Peggle review was disappointing -- not because Yahtzee did a bad job. Rather, the folks at Escapist apparently asked to do the review. Someone knows absolute zilch about Ben's audience.

I'm still waiting that [hint]Boiling Point: Road to Hell[/hint] review. Unfortunately, lately he seems to have been doing reviews about new games only, but that's where we thank The Escapist. Maybe we should write one of those petition things and send it to Escapist?

Sign this if you are with me.

Because post go quickly to hell here. So we make a new one so our valid opinion can be noted. Then have the thread go to hell.

And this happened when there were ten or twenty regulars. Imagine what could happen with the teeming hordes Yahztee's new popularity has brought.

Yahtzee was sure funnier before he sold out, right, guys?

Add me to the ranks of the masses who have never heard of Peggle. Maybe it would make a nice birthday present for my mother.
