I've managed to find some ways of getting online periodically. The ethernet cable that I need is going to run me about $30, so I might be longer than I initially expected to be. Anyway, I can access the internet in one-hour bursts if I use the local library, so I may do that from time to time.

Also: in my short time away, thus far I have begun work on a new webcomic which will likely be hated by all, and a new feature devoted to the unsung horror movie characters we all love (which will likely go the way of "Utterly Useless Video Game Character Of The Week").

Wowzers, I may have, however, used the term "ethernet" incorrectly, as I sometimes get my miscellaneous tech terms mixed up. The cable I need is one to connect my computer to my mother's broadband router.
