No offence to the Y-man intended. It's just thats its been a while since his last game and I was wondering why he hasn't posted any teasers yet. I mean, I know he's busy, but it has been almost 9 months since 6DAS.

Perhaps because he's not working on anything right now, or if he is, he doesn't want to be bothered by us about it.

If he is working on something right now, it's probably slowed down quite a bit by ZP. Even if he made enough money from special editions to keep him sipping mojitos on some exotic island resort for a few decades, he's not under contract to make games -- he's under contract to make reviews.

And quite frankly, compared to other game developers, Yahtzee is pretty prolific. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw another game in the not-too-terribly-distant future. Just gotta be patient.

Nah, I was just thinking, normally when someone posts a topic like this, we hear word of a new game within a week. Now we get to see if this theory is true, if Y-man waits 8 days just to bugger the plan, or if its just balls.

Here's the juicy bit from the chatroom so everyone can be up to date without the risks of catching chatroom cooties:

<Yahtzee> Yeah, maybe we should bring something else up
<Yahtzee> Like my current super secret AGS project
<Yahtzee> I can't tell you anything though because it's super secret
<arien> Is it Trilby's Notes 2: Electric Boogaloo?
<Yahtzee> Nope
<arien> Bummer
<arien> That was my only guess
<Yahtzee> How about I give each of you 1 yes or no question
<Yahtzee> that one didn't count
<arien> Oh good.
<Yahtzee> and I have to answer with total truth
<arien> Um... is it a sequel to GFW?
<Yahtzee> No.
<arien> Crap.
...
<blueskirt> Does the next game has complex gameplay element like GFW or 1213 had?
<Yahtzee> Yes.
<blueskirt> Woo!
<arien> Nice
<Yahtzee> I had an interview with a company for a game design gig
<Yahtzee> And they told me that I had a great talent for story-based games but not much else
<Yahtzee> So with this one I'm emphasising gameplay
<Yahtzee> This one pretty much has no adventure elements at all
<Yahtzee> Well, there are puzzles, I guess

<Yahtzee> I'm waiting on Mods for music yet again
<AdamM> No shit? Finished it that quickly?
<CJ_Marren> Is it for the new game? Puzzley thingy?
<Yahtzee> Still some minor shit to do but then it's the weekly nag email routine again
<Yahtzee> I am forever misjudging the time that boy needs to produce stuff

I've gotten most of the music from mods and I just want him to tweak one of the tracks a bit and when that's done it'll be about ready for testing.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

Yahtzee, I know you usually get your testers from an unbiased, anonymous 3rd party website, but I'll volunteer anyway.

I'm surprised, actually. By a couple of things. I didn't think a new game would be this close to release. And as far as gameplay is concerned, Teddy Murder was pretty original and, while not hugely replayable, had all the fundamentals there. Better than a PopCap game, anyway, but they're all pretty derivative.

The theory is proven beyond all possible doubt. If Y-Man was happy with my previous betaing I'd be happy to go again. It would be nice to have something to listen to this time, rather than watching masses and masses of people getting killed in complete silence.

In case you need testers, I'm here too. What do you mean? Trilby was NOT supposed to walk through that wall and stab tall man?!

I was wondering, did you get a third party for the concept art?
I was remembering some of the sketches you posted when the last trilby game was released and I got wondering, they were pretty nice...

I could be a tester. If you are worried about me telling the sheeple anything about the game, don’t be. For the power of knowledge I would have over them would trample any thoughts I would have of squealing.
