Greetings.

My gaming life was lonely and frustrated. Ninny after freaking ninny I bump into tells me how Psychonauts is lame and boooooring and how I should play a cool game like Quake 4. Story didn't seem to matter to anyone. Button mashing and bloody killfests were the measure of excellence. I go to LAN parties and tell the emos there was a game once called System Shock 2 that was actually better than Halo. They ramble off a list of nameless console games. There's nothing better than them. Never has. Never will be. I sigh and seek out someone over 21.

After viewing the Psychonatus review, I slapped my table and declared to no one in particular, "Finally, oh dear God finally, someone tells the truth." I then proceed to tell my wife how cool Psychonauts was. She nods and smiles and politely waits for me to STFU. My kid wonders what's got into me. He's 3. Not a gamer yet.

So thanks yahtzee for a great review. I emailed yahtzee as such. Nice email. Lots of praise. My guess it went into the 'ol delete bin. Probably too nice.

I support your opinion. I think pretty big % of this forum does. Seriously. Halo was pretty nice as the graphics and physics were good, story sometimes too. But as a lanparty game... Hell no. System Shock 2, now there's a game.

I have fever, so my reply is short. Welcome to forums and enjoy your stay. Back to work as I am currently chatting on my employer top secret laptop which password I quessed.

I never beat System Shock 2. I gave up at the sphincter part.

I beat it once with a Navy guy, this time I wanted to beat it with a soldier, but when I got over to the Rickenbacker, my savegame got corrupted (I lost all inventory items, abilities, attributes, nanites, cyber modules, etc.). That put me off from playing the game a bit.

Not to say I didn't like the game, but seriously, it says "Sphincter" far too many times. Like four, counting research descriptions. That's about four too many for my taste.

Be thankful it didn't say "brown eye" or "chocolate starfish."

Actually that would have made want to play it even more.
