Woot for the Dark Crystal! I'd like to add Cube and Cube Zero to the list. I don't know how "lost" or obscure they are, but they are good times, and I usually don't like psychological thriller/horror movies in the slightest.

Hmm...

Kung Fu Hustle
Time Bandits
Lost Highway
Six-String Samurai
Toxic Avenger (I don't think there has been a more terribly B-movie B-movie comedy/horror film than this one)
That's about all I can think of right now.
This space for rent. Inquire within.

How are those obscure or unknown? They were both heavily promoted box office failures.

Few people are aware of a pretty sweet little indie film I found once called "Running Time". It stars Bruce Campbell as a bank robber who has just been released from prison, and the events surrounding his "comeback" heist. What I like about it is that it's shot in a similar style as Hitchcock's "Rope". It's made to seem as though it's just one long continuous shot with no cuts. Brilliant, and remarkably underrated movie.

It's a classic, but not exactly lost. This thread should be for movies you really lilke that you doubt many people have heard of, not just for movies that came out a few years ago and your video store might not have 300 copies of anymore.

But seriously dude, stop going to WalMart. That place is fucked.

Well, Metropolis; it's the first silent film I ever watched, and I loved every damn minute of it. happy.gif

For my own... I'd like to add:

Highway 61

If you haven't seen this movie, you suck. It's not your fault or anything, it's just one of those things that'll you'll have to live with. If you find this on DVD somewhere and post a link, you'll seize to suck.

I really need a copy.
