Heccubus: I work as a cashier, which is only slightly less dreadful in terms of dealing with customers because I'm not giving them any food to throw at me. But I agree, judging people is the main source of fun in the job. That and constant and unnecessary trips to the water fountain. But whenever I see the middle-aged white guy/Asian bride couple, I assume the man is a Vietnam veteran who got hooked on what he saw over there.

Barend: That reminds me of this comic I found when I did an image search on "lol".

what completely baffles me is that people who type in the text-message-speak actually speak in person like completely normal human beings. it used to be that I would see things written in the manner of that myspace excerpt and I would assume that they, well, talked like that. that is to say, with the lack of punctuation they would just run on in a monotone, and words like "b4" they would pronounce, "BEE-four," in kind of a robotic, halting way like that. but then in high school I made friends with a girl who talked like a normal person and everything, but then we started talking over IM and I discovered that she typed like that! I was really confused. and I still am.

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.
