It would certainly clear up the plot hole in that Phillip would have had to touch the idol to become possessed (whereas it is still clearly and neatly stuck in the bell jar at all points it is seen from the beginning of the game to the discovery of AJ's corpse). Or is that addressed in the SE too?

All becomes clear in the Special Edition. It just makes sense for Phillip to be the one who murdered AJ, especially when you consider how defensive and edgy he gets once the body is found.

In trilby's notes, didn't one of the pieces of paper describe the tall man killing AJ for knowing too much about CHZO?

Or did the paper just say that "he" struck him down, possibly indicating that the welder did it?

It just strikes me that Phil is still too short to have done it; possibly Yahtzee just accused him in the SE because people wanted to know who killed AJ, but still wanted to wrap up that plot hole later?

If only I had a credit card . . . .
