although i never played the video game, i have seen the jacket it comes in and have read the back of it. The front pose looks very similiar in style to the iconic silhouette pose of Che Guevara, and from Ive read on the back, it appears to be somewhat loosely based off of him.

Has anyone who has played this game have more insight?

The box art for Just Cause imitates the famous photograph of Che Guevara taken by Alberto Korda. Guevara was a Latin American revolutionary who was instrumental most famously in the Cuban Revolution which overthrew dictator Fulgencio Batista.

I find it a bit offensive, given that I am quite anti-imperialist, and the US attempted to impose a martial dictatorship on Panama after its sloppy attempt to meddle in Panama's affair, which also left somewhere between 1,000 and 3,000 civilians killed. It was a brief excursion by the first Bush administration, but left a big violent mess in Panama for years.

The game doesn't sound very interesting, and seems entirely too full of contemporary propaganda. Maybe it's fun... *shrug*
