FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

DRAGONMASTER COMMENTS ON WORLDWIDE REACTION TO "HARRY POTTER AND THE DETHLY HALLOWS"

NEW YORK CITY, 7/28/06 --- After an extended week of self-imposed silence, Blackwolf the Dragonmaster, Duke of Talsiker, New York City's Unofficial Wizard, revealed today his official reaction to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the blockbusting seventh and final chapter in J.K. Rowling's epic saga of the life and adventures of a young boy Wizard at the epicenter of a global war amongst Magic-users.

Speaking as usual from his undisclosed headquarters, overlooking Yankee Stadium, the Dragonmaster said:

"Friends of the Wizard and Mortal communities, I know I did say that I would silence myself for three days; I needed the extra four days in order to properly clear my thoughts, lest they be utterly cluttered. But enough nonsesne! I owe you goodly gentles a reaction to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows; and I intend to make good on that promise! So, here goes:

"Without giving the finale away to those of you who have still not yet completely read the entire book, I only advise you you to pay proper attention to its most crucial, and, dare I say it, it most controversial chapter, "The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore." 2 1/2 years removed from the horrifiying chain of events that culminated in Beloved Albus' murder, it becomes apparent now that there is far more to his story than we realized. If, in fact, Dumbledore's life was laden with personal tragedy, the Lady Rowling was wise to keep it a secret from the world until last week. There was, as I myself have already told you in my now-famous Dumbledore Eulogy, a sort of humanity inherent in Albus that few Wizards of his pedigree ever dared to wield.

"What we never remembered was the fact that Harry Potter himself never even bothered to ask Dumbledore about the old Mage's own personal life. We were content at the time, I think, to have only Albus' presence .... and still, again, no one bothered to ask 'Why?' Nonetheless, for all these faults and counter-faults, one must suggest, as I now do, that when brought together, the seven novels of Harry Potter reveal unto us an epic chronicle of modern man and his constant, often futile, pursuit of meaning, freedom, love.

"If memory serves me correctly, I seem to recall that there was a television series of old that each week brought that pursuit to life with every new episode. Its name: Insight. Using the same sci-fi/fantasy fomat as its fellow anthology series legends, The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, creator-executive producer Father Elwood ("Bud") Kieser mingled the worlds of religious drama and sci-fi/fantasy to fashion a series unlike no other. Clearly, Bud Kieser would have felt right at home exploring Albus Dumbledore's life and possible lies.

"I shall close by mentioning that what I have been saying all along about the aftermath of this Second War, as told through the pages of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels, remains as true today as it did the day I first uttered the words:

"The world must change, and a greater power than ours must come, before the Wizards and Muggles can considier themselves free to walk the Earth in proper harmony, as our forebears did aeons before."
