No David, I meant the last two books.

Oh? I didn't like the sixth one either, but the fifth one wasn't so bad... was it?

I thought she did a poor job with the Harry/Ginny romance but that's just me.

I agree. We knew from book one that Ginny had an infatuation
with Harry and then ALL of a Frakkin sudden he loves her?!?!?!?!?

Like way to come out of left field. huh.gif
Especially all that rubbish about him knowing it had always been her.
So what about those bits in book 4 and 5 where he's all about Cho Chang?

I guess they never happened because he always love Ginny dry.gif

OH was that a nitpick? unsure.gif

When boys are 13-16 years old, they tend to use something else for thinking instead of their brain. Asian girls are more exotic = more hot.

Well, does anyone else here think Ginny was such a b*tch in the sixth book? With her awesomeness on the Quidditch pitch, and her sudden ability to be right about everything, she practically transformed into a Mary-Sue! ohmy.gif

Rowling said in an interview that it was always meant to be Harry/Ginny, but she executed it so horribly that it felt like a last minute idea that she was too lazy to really explore. The scenes between Harry & Ginny don't play out long enough to have any real impact or to make any the reader feel that there's anything between them. And yeah, there were times where Ginny was something of a biotch as Bond asked; I think book 6 needed a scene where Harry recognized this and put Ginny in her place, thus showing that although he's developing a bit of a thing for her, he can tell she's not perfect and has to be called on for her shit, and from there you see more equality between the two, balancing each other out, that sort of thing.

And I'm saying this as someone who was kind of rooting for these two.
I am the Fisher King.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

I think HBP should have had that as well, especially since they were both calling out Ron and Hermione, but never each other. It seems Rowling was too timid to explore that range of possibilities. unsure.gif

Meh...less love stories, more of Fenrir Greyback devouring the Hogwart's students. It would have been funny if he showed up in the scene where Dumbledore is at Draco's "mercy" chomping on a torn off arm.

"Dumbledore, you don't look so well. Care for a bite to eat?"

Well, he did show up, so... unsure.gif

Maybe the scene would have gone better if Draco had a set of Lupin-esque scars from his little bout with Sectumsempra? wink.gif

Just finished the last in the series. I liked it myself, though it did kinda need a more action oriented but open ended close. Harry, instead of doing something with the hallows, says he probably will, and that maybe one of them will be destroyed when he dies. I would have liked to see him do that and perhaps find some closure in that. Instead the closure seems to come from a ridiculous and confusing mini chapter full of, as best as I can tell, a dozen children who are related to the main characters, and then Draco was there too. I could have easily done without that, it would have been better to end the quest for the hallows concretely and to leave the relationship aspect open.

Also, does anyone feel odd that Half Blood Prince had little or nothing to do with Snape?
