Bond, there's a fine line between being a cynic and being realistic. The fact of the matter is, the quality of most movies these days is terrible. There was never a need for a Simpson's movie to be created. The series has done an episode on everything...South Park even makes fun of this.

They didn't do one on female circumcision. Granted, female circumcision is probably the least funny thing in the universe, but still.

It's also a misnomer, since it's mutilation of the sex organs to the point of removing their ability to function. If it were actual circumcision, the clitoral hood would have to be removed, since it's the analogous female part. Let's change the subject.

I watched The Simpsons Movie and all I am going to say is that until I saw the movie I didn’t not realise that Ned Flanders had such a strong accent. Where is his accent from? (aimed at U.S members)

I believe that's a Minnesotan accent, like in Fargo.

Fargo takes place in North Dakota.

And only northern Minnesota sounds like that, because they're so close to Canada. The normal people in the Twin Cities sound as unaccented as TV Newscasters.

EDIT: Regardless of your memory of the film, you should know just because that Fargo is in North Dakota.

I went and saw the Simpsons movie yesterday, and I didn't laugh once the entire 90 minutes. It seemed like a really long, shitty episode from season 8+. In fact, I would have rather sat in the bottom of an outhouse than have watched that movie. I am now dumber after watching that pathetic excuse for a film.

The thing I liked most about this film was watching it with so many people. Experiencing the layered humour in action.

100% of the audience laughing at somethings, 75% laughing at others, 50% catching somethings, only 30% understanding obscure references, and then only myself and someother guy who wasn't in my group being the only two who laughed at a couple things.
