The Assembly is almost over and yet again, it has been one heck of a demo party. The compo entries were cool, the people are still nice, I've met new friends, Captain Pirk is here, we are all tired and our table is filled with empty bottles and cans.
Here's a story which occured yesterday. This was in Wikipedia before they deleted it and moved to the Hikipedia (a finnish comedy wikipedia) (it is translated to english. If there are too many grammar errors, blame my lack of sleep):
"Ville Suominen is a boy, who gained his fame in Assembly 2007 event in 4th august 2007. At around 22pm, a message popped on the big screen, where Ville's parents asked a person called "Ville Suomi" to head to the main doors. The event caused huge applauses and later a message was shown on the screen: "Ville SuomiNEN, your parents are waiting at the main doors." Because of the event Ville's name was shouted in the irc channel of Assembly, there was a intense conversation about the subject, and a society was made to IRC - gallery, which gained a few hundred members in a hour. Moreover songs about Ville were made and a shirt about him was being sold on the internet."
As some of you might not understand the meaning of this joke (happened in IRC about a minute ago), I'll explain.
Would you have liked if you were at demoparty (possibly when you were 15 years old) and then your parents came to get you and they called you at the big screen? 5000 people are looking at your name your parents are waiting at main doors. Huge crowds are cheering at you as you walk to your parents. End of explanation.
And finally the important thingys.
PicturesI'll add the rest after the party.
