Hey guys,

Well not too long ago I was wanting to get a new(er) car than what I had. I should have been grateful for what I had and just sucked it up knowing all cars eventually will need maintainence instead of wanting to buy something newer.

Well here I am 4 months after the purchase, and I hate the car payment and it just isn't worth it for a car. Little background on me I am 20 years old, going to school full time and working full time. I can't afford to spend $500 a month on a cool car to drive around..I would rather have an "ok" car and not have the stress about what would happen if I lost my job or something.

So! I am to the point where I found a 94 Accord 124,000 miles. Very clean and no rust on the body. I have yet to take it for a test drive but I am going to see it this weekend. Just wondering if anyone has input/knowledge of this year for the Accord. Am I safe to assume I can think of the Honda reliability? But I am after with saab parts and I know my aunt use to have a car just like this and never had any major problems and it is still running to this day.

Thanks for any help guys!

Hey, mickey! Welcome to the forums. (shakes hand) Consider them a sanctuary where you are mostly safe from the sheer bulls... factor of internet message boards.

As for your car problem, I'm not sure what I can recommend. Honda seems pretty reliable, but... unsure.gif

imho, i think youre making a smart move by getting rid of the car with payments attached to it, and deciding to go second-hand.

however, i think youre limiting your options.

you should ask yourself, whats the most youre willing to spend on a 2nd hand car, and also how new or how old are you wanting this car to be.

do you want manual or auto transmission? lots of questions to ask yourself.

This isn't the sort of discussion that should be in the debate club. To the lobby!

I also have no advice to give you concerning your vehicle, but other people in more populated forums will.

well, thanks guys. I am so sorry for a long day without visiting this thread. Came from a vacation in the Philippines with my family. Got my car right now. Thank you so much. Wish to have more knowledge with this very reliable forum site. And sorry for the wrong posting I realized this should be put to a debate club as Slade said.

... Thanks again guys!!! And more power! biggrin.gif
