George Lucas is an awesome god! He reins from Endor above! George Lucas is an awesome god!!
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

I read somewhere that Lucas was posting plot spoilers on his web site and charging people to join to see them? Anyone confirm that.

Force.net Fanboys in particular seem to hang off his every word, like he's some portal of vision into a real Universe, or a God who has dreamed up this parallel Universe in his mind. On every whim when 'George' reveals something new, the fan boys coo and arr as if they're a step close to enlightenment. The extreme ones do this with everything Lucas does, to the point they stick and defend the ridiculous and the contradictory.

So if Lucas gets drunk and imagines everyone in the Universe having large group parties of a promiscuous nature, does that make it so? If he reveals inside the suit Boba Fett to be a Jawa drag queen who has been walking around in stilts, does that make it so? (Jango's Son was eaten by insects on Genosis you see. They originally did plan on looking after him, but maggots need food and that laugh really got on their nerves) However ridiculous, do they accept it? Or at any point, do fanboys say 'Hey c'mon!' or at least whine 'Awwwww George ...'

All right, then; I've just heard that it's the general consensus that GoldenEye is Brosnan's best Bond movie.

That's not saying much. Nothing against Brosnan per se. Like Christensen (I can't spell his name either), there's only so much an actor can do when they're in a crap movie. I saw an Interview with Guy Pearce talking about when he was shooting Time Machine: jumping a shark in slow motion. He said every morning when he and a particular stage hand saw each other, they'd discuss the mental age of the target audience and every day they'd revise it down.

Noticed that actors who succeed after a one hit wonder need to follow up with either a smash hit (hard to pick) or (much easier to pick) do something arty. Arty movies never make a fortune, but they're critically well received. Get one of those under your belt, and you're a franchise. Bet on the smash hit and lose, and you're at best a supporting actor.

While I'm wildly off topic here, once heard Kevin Spacey described as a supporting actor who thing he's a leading man. ("Reeoooow! Saucer of milk, table 3!") :-)

Casino Royale, however, is really freakin' awesome.

Ok. I'll check it out. Glad to hear they dumped the snogging at the end. The whole series got so bad I couldn't tell if Austin Powers was a satire of James Bond or the other way around

Happy to discuss here. My other theory is that George Lucas really is James Bond. (This is no more preposterous than anything that happened in TPM.)

Well, the link I posted is my personal list of the 7 worst Bond films, so you might want to check that out. wink.gif

Also, if you've read the novel Casino Royale, this movie is 007 times better. tongue.gif
