My favorite scene from Escape from New York:

Bob Hauk: there was an accident a few hours ago, a small plane went down inside new york city..and the president was onboard.

Snake:president of what?

Bob Hauk:thats not funny, plissken.

Bob Hauk: you go in, and rescue him in less than 24 hours, and youre a free man

Snake:24 hours, huh?

Bob Hauk: Im making you an offer...

Snake: Bullshit!!

Bob Hauk: straight..just like I said

Snake: I'll think about it...

Bob Hauk:No time!, give me an answer!

Snake: get a new president...

Bob Hauk:Were still at war, plissken, we need him alive

Snake: I dont give a fuck about your war...or your president!!!.[size=3]

also...

The scene when Snake lands on top of the World Trade Center is just eery now since 9/11 happened

I like "Escape From New York", but not "Escape From LA". I really don't want them to remake "Escape From New York" either, that would just suck.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Ive been thinking about this for the past couple of days. With the recent news that there may be a remake of Escape from New York, I dont feel its necessary at all. I can imagine it now, they will try to remove and/or reinvent the scene where Snake lands on top of the World Trade Center, as not to offend the families of 9/11 victims.

A remake really is not needed.

But what I think they should do, is make a prequel to Escape from New York, and tell the story of what happened in Kansas City with Snake and Frisco Bob.

But dont call it Escape from Kansas City. call it something like "Primary Escape", or "The First Escape" , or "Dawn of Escape"..something that refers to it being the prequel to the Escape films, but with not such a blatant title like "Escape from New York: The Beginning" or some crap like that.

by the way...if you look hard and deep enough, you can find the special edition of escape from new york right now in most wal-mart bargain bins, for just $5.00. You better hurry to get this deal.

I wouldn't want a prequel to "Escape From New York". There're enough prequels as it is. I just want them to let Snake rest in peace.

I got the special edition of EFNY for my birthday a while back. One of the best special editions out there.
