Well i think its Godzilla
anyone else get that feel

strictly from the creatures roar
and how it tossed Lady Liberty's head?

Duct tape is like the force....

There's a lightside, a darkside

and it holds everything together

its obviously some sort of aquatic type beast. it would have to be, if it swam to liberty island and attacked mrs. liberty and threw her mug, then is seen walking in manhattan.

and the low pitch of the roar, definetely sounds aquatic in nature.

But how can a movie monster sound aquatic? sad.gif

man...the hype for this movie was sooo huge...now it just died out. i think j.j. abrams needs to put out another teaser trailer with different footage to provide the public with more insight into this highly coveted film project.

Welcome to the 2000s. People's attention was quickly swept away with Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan doing stupid shit.
I'm still curious about it as well, but Abrams can't possibly expect people to keep watching for things when he's barely giving anyone any information about the film. People lost interest because the game got old.

And how did I miss this. Tru Jade:
Try reading. Like I said before, it's not fucking Godzilla. One of the only things we DO know is that it's not a licensed property. So that means (before anyone else starts hopping up and down) that it's not:
-Godzilla
-Mothra
-Gigan
-Megalon
-Mechagodzilla
-Mecha fucking anything
-Cthulhu (this was one of the best ideas anyone came up with, but the rights would be owned by the estate of HP Lovecraft, so I don't think it's likely)
-Any of the other Ancient Ones
-King Kong
-those crazy giant ants from "Them!"
-The robot thing from "The Day The Earth Stood Still"
-the 50 Foot Woman
-et al

I hope it's the 50-foot woman.

WOO! This is shaping up to be a pretty intense-looking movie, though I don't really like how it's drifting toward typical monster movie fare (the army is called in, they engage the monster in a huge battle on the streets, etc) and action/horror hybrid...ness. Still though, I'm pretty excited for this.

hey thanks for that clip, hecc, i wasnt even aware abrams had put a new one out.

it seems to me that abrams & company fixed the obvious size of the lady liberty's head in this new clip.

also, not sure if you noticed this as well, but while that clip is playing..if you move your mouse over to the bottom letterbox field, it brings up a pop-up box of suspected analysis of the new clip (obviously from the author from the youtube clip).

something else seems to be standing out while the clip is playing in the background..i cant quite make out what it is..but something..two of whatever is dragging an unwilling young woman at -:58
Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

IT's a new monster apparently. (Upon resaearch) It may as well be godzilla but the guy makinging said he wanted an american monster. and that king kong is too cudly.

So I'm expecting a giant octopuss with a cowboy hat.

If it's not, I'll be slightly dissapointed.

Yeah the two things dragging that woman are probably just soldiers. If people would stop freaking out about how she's going nuts, they'd notice that there are people standing right in front of that struggle that aren't doing anything about it. You'd think they'd help if she was being attacked. I'm willing to bet they're just soldiers trying to calm her down and get her out of the area with the rest of the citizens, and, of course, people have to try and find something significant in every single facet of the teasers to try and make it out to be something more than it is.

This looks like crap. Blair Witch Project meets 9/11. Blah.
