I love everything about Bladerunner. The atmosphere. The music. Harrison Ford. Everything in this film is just perfect. Discuss.

I'm just glad it didn't turn into a franchise - "Blade Runner 2: The Wrath of Deckard", "BR 3: The Search for Rachel", etc.

Well, I like the music, I do like the overall look of the film - better than most of the dark sci-fi crap I see today - and I hear there's another special edition in the works with behind the scenes making of documentaries and what not. Don't expect Harrison Ford to do anything for it though, as he counts Blade Runner as his least favorite film on his resume due to what he called a "gruelling" filming schedule and 'studio interference'.

Yeah they filmed the whole thing in the rain and Ridley Scott back then was inexperienced as far as directing goes. It's based on the PDK novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, which I also recommend.

Bladerunner has also been dubbed as being a science fiction movie with the most amount of science fiction elements contained in any sci fi film ever.

I guess 1979's "Alien" didn't teach Scott everything he needed to know.

I have read the "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" novel. It was a while ago, but it was very different from the film.

I really should see the director's cut; the original was very impressive in its own right. One of my favorites.
