Would someone please, for the love of God, kill this man? Words cannot fully express my absolute hatred toward Ned "Carlos Mencia" Holness.

Take Dave Chappelle. Now make him a fat Hispanic halfbreed. Now make him devoid of anything that's even remotely funny or original. Now you've got Carlos Mencia, the current scourge of Comedy Central. His witty catchphrase? "DEE DEE DEE." Don't get it? Didn't think you would. It's actually supposed to be a sound that retarded people make. Mencia basically goes on Digg before the show, finds funny news stories about people doing stupid things, repeats them on air to a mindless audience, and says "DEE DEE DEE" over and over again for hours in an attempt to mock the stupidity of the people in said news story.

There are about a billion reasons why this isn't funny. First of all, a child of about 3 years old can pull this act off. I know because I have successfully gotten my three-year-old niece to say "DEE DEE DEE" over and over again. Another reason it isn't funny is because that's not even the noise that a stereotypical retard makes. The correct noise is more along the lines of "DURRRRRRRR." You'd think Mencia would know this, since he appears to be a total retard. Well, there's an explanation as to why he doesn't. He is beyond retarded. This man is so incredibly feeble-minded that he actually fails at being a retard. Incredible, ain't it?

Think the "DEE DEE DEE" thing is hilarious? Well get ready to hold on to your sides because that's only half of his act! The other half consists of nothing but old racist jokes that have been passed around since the Jim Crow Laws came about. Now, the only reason ol' Ned can get away with these jokes is because he tries to pass himself off as a Mexican, even though there is nothing Mexican about him except his stage name, which the Comedy Central executives slapped on him at the last minute. I can only imagine what would happen if, say, a white comedian tried his hand at shouting racist garbage at the audience in his comedy routine. Oh wait, nevermind, Michael Richards already tried it.

Anyway, I hope that one day the audience will come to its senses and realize how stupid they are for watching a fat racist Mexican halfbreed spew verbal diarrhea out of his mouth for 22 solid minutes. Until that day comes, it's safe to say that America is, comedy-wise, doomed.

So, I'm guessing you don't like him?

So, I'm guessing you don't like him?

I find him amusing to watch late at night if there's nothing better on and I left my TV on Comedy Central. In short, he's not good, but he's not so bad that I feel Ihave to get off my couch to avoid him.

You have a bit of his background wrong, though.

He legally is named Mencia, but uses his father's last name, Holness, out of respect. His mother really is Mexican, and his father is Honduran. So while he technically ISN'T Mexican, I feel your statements come across as if his father was American, which he wasn't.

Zewb, totally agree. The racist shtick is just soo tired these days. I watched him interview Hispanic gardeners the other day to see if their bosses were like the wives on Desperate Housewives. The skit was nothing more than him speaking Spanish and having the workers respond in Spanish. I guess its funny to have people that dont speak English talk about Desperate Housewives.
As per the retard jokes. God its like shooting fish in a barrel. Its so easy to make fun of people who are disabled, not to mention extremely offensive.
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

I'm not a fan of the retarded jokes either. But MoM rates higher on my list of CC shows than the lengthening list of Anti-Bush programs. And, no, Bush is not a sacred cow. But aren't the Daily show / that other show / little bush just as grating an onslaught as DEE DEE DEEEEEE?

BTW, Whatever happened to battlebots? That was a great show!

Why would ANY comedian be against George W. Bush? He is easily one of the funniest presidents we've ever had.

You forgot to mention (I almost spelled that mencion on accident tongue.gif ) Mencia's spectacularly stupid, pathetic, irrelevant, and irreverent sense of political humor. To be fair, he tries to make fun of everyone, but that just gives him more of a range to totally bomb at comedy with. Apparently, Ned also steals jokes from Joe "Fear Factor" "News Radio" Rogan.

Despondent: People will stop making fun of Dubya when he stops being incredibly stupid. I guess it would be nice for people to focus on more dumb people, but it's just so easy to pick on Bush since he's in the media all the time.

Making fun of Bush doesn't bother me, it's hating him that doesn't make any sense. He's just such a lovable character.

When he can actually pronounce the words in his speaches, he's rather monsterous and tyrannical, and at the very least the head and figurehead of a political administration with no fear at having those qualities or qualms against using them.

But this is where we rant about how sucky Mencia is as a comedian, or someone shows up and tells the people who don't like him why he's a good comedian. Or something.

Nah I don't think this forum attracts people stupid enough to be into Mencia.

Watched an episode of Lil' Bush. Gotta say, it just didn't make sense. I like Stewart and Colbert, but Lil' Bush seemed to just be dumb.

i find mencia to be quite amusing and somewhat intellectual in his comedy routine, as he makes various valid points and arguments.

such as when he said blacks and whites always fought, but when 9/11 happened, its like we said "wonder twin powers-activate!"

i do agree that his "dee dee dee" is getting very old. i think he needs to stop using it, and try to think up some fresh routines.

He does LOOK amazingly like Joe Rogan...

and He fills the race comedy void that the absence of Chapelle left.
