I have been noticeably absent and for that I apologize. Work has been terribly busy. Usually when I get home from work I have only enough energy reserved to make myself a grilled cheese sandwich and then fall asleep in front of the TV. The latter usually occurs somewhere around 9:30 in the PM. This is what my life has become.

Today was different. I left work about 20 minutes early feeling this giant burst of energy. I came home and got to work fiddling with my Xbox, checking the tons of emails I got over the weekend and getting to catching up on my Tiger Woods 2004 and Worms 3D.

Last week was very busy for me and I decided after a very long day on Thursday that if I had to spend one more second than absolutely necessary in This Glorious City that I was going to go out of my mind. So I packed my bags and dashed off to New York City Friday after work. After plodding my way through hours of disgusting weekend traffic I arrived in Brooklyn and breathed a deep sigh of relief. I've never been quite so overcome with claustrophobia but after being there for about an hour and dining in the lovely Two Boots restaurant I felt much better. Saturday night Jen and I ate with friends on a rooftop on the Upper West Side (or was it East?) of Manhattan and shared a cheeseburger.

Life was pretty good.

So relaxing was the weekend that I didn't feel my normal Monday morning dread. I simply went to work and it was very laid back and fairly stress free.

On another note: I'm running out of Company X comics. There are a scant four or five left in my backlog so somehow I'm going to have to take some time to make some more.

Anyone feel like paying me to be a full time website guy? (This website, not your crappy site.)

How much was the cheeseburger? 20-30 bucks?

My sister lived in New York for 1 year. 200,000 dollars a year income is just getting by.

What you need is "Quest for the Crown" merchandise.

You might possibly make some money.

Not to say that I'd buy anything, but I promise I'd look at it and say to myself, "I sure wish I had one of those."

But not through cafe press. You will never make any money ever through them. Ever.

That's actually a really good idea. There is a huge T-Shirt manufacturing plant that is literally about 200 feet from my house. Shirts cost about $4.95 each for printing and everything. While the profit would be far greater than cafepress the amount of shirts we sold on cafepress was very small as to lead me to believe it wouldn't be worth it.

C'est la vie.

You mean Paul's geek t-shirts? Maybe, if you look hard enough, there's a reason they didn't sell too well.

True enough. However, cafepress shirts are very overpriced. I think a lot more people would buy shirts if they were only $10-12 rather than $15-17.

That's true. And I can't say that those shirts were greatly advertised. Actually, if you could sell them for 10-12 dollars I really would buy one. That would be very cool.

Do you have to get some massive amount of them printed at once in order to make them that cheap?

Cafepress is horrible for shipping their products too. I've received two Lords Of Chaos hats (one was a replacement for the first), and both were shipped in a box that was far too small. As a result, both hats are warped and un-wearable. I've decided that I will no longer attempt to receive products from Cafepress, no matter how delightful.

I don't think it's that bad. I think you only need like 50 of them. That's still a bit of cash up front but if I thought I could make the money back I'd certainly do it.
