What kind of question is that? No I don’t. Detaining civilians for no purpose is downright wrong as I have already said in this thread:

Of course; David Hicks was a soldier and not a civilian. Once you choose to pick up a gun, you loose your human rights. I don’t mind soldiers detaining and torturing one another as long as civilians are not harmed.

I was speaking metaphorically. Does he intend to kill someone with that gun? And just how does someone come across a gun so easily?
My metaphor was more for those who sign up to the military and get sent to war zones.

Well if you were conscripted into the army and Id assume you would be then you didn’t make the choice of being a soldier or not. So if you are conscripted then theoretically, you have rights. But if it’s a civil war or if you are fighting an occupier then you obviously have rights. My metaphor was more for those who choice to be soldiers knowing they will be sent half way across the world to fight a pointless war.

(I use "allegedly" because that's what I was reading into your statements.)
I neither condone nor condemn the use of torture on soldiers who had a choice of fighting or not.

Now, what of David Hicks? Do you condone Cheney's treatment of the suspect?
Well I don’t know under what circumstances he was captured or what went on in Guantanamo. I do know that he trained with Al Qaeda and he fought for (and on the behalf of) Al Qaeda in a few hotspots around the world. But I really cannot condemn or condone this situation.

Now, speaking of the topic at hand, I think Cheney's a bit of a douchebag, but this Aussie terrorist guy probably deserved what he got.
Being, you know, a terrorist and all.

By the by; he is no longer a Muslim. I saw it on the news that he got picked on by the other Muslims in GB (or something like that) and he decided to convert out of Islam. Perhaps he converted into Islam so he would be “cool”. Sort of like peer pressure. Lmao.
