i know this is old but i think this is one of the best reviews i've read about episode III. the guy isn't even a SW fan but he certainly knows his stuff. the first cartoon picture of anakin and the emporer is hilarious and so true.

This Maddox fellow though
funny is quite cruel.

He calls SW fans like me fools,
but at lest i know where i stand. . .

i accept SW for what is.
And i accept that yes i may be a fool

to defend Lucas and all his delusions.
Every SW fan has something

negative to sayabout
at least 2 films but not all

And Maddox just writes off all the films.
Well i say it's just not that easy.

These films have stood the test of time for a reason.
And they all might not be great

but if they were i'd have nothing to talk about.
Now wouldn't that be sad

Duct tape is like the force....

There's a lightside, a darkside

and it holds everything together

Maddox is all hot profane air in my eyes. He raises the same points many people have already made, except with more rambling and MS paint drawings and a complete failure to grasp the most simple concepts of webpage design.

It is a masterpiece. Perhaps a flawed masterpiece... from a certain point of view. (Love that line. It'll get you out of anything).

He reraises some good points but does so succinctly, which in itself is worth praise. He may have a few new ones too. I am not sure if these are already in the Chef Elf Tome, but if they aren't, perhaps they should be?

I like this, which I will preserve here in case Maddox comes under a FanBoy DDOS attack:

QUOTE
Oh really? It just so happens that this "children's movie" has a scene where a guy gets his hands chopped off, a graphic decapitation, the wanton slaughter of children (the highlight of any movie), and the coolest scene in any space action movie starring Ewan McGregor: Anakin getting his legs chopped off as his stumps catch fire while his face melts. By the way, if you haven't seen this movie yet, don't read the previous sentence.

Sorry. I'm SUI. :-)

I particularly like the dialogue in the second cartoon. It perfectly sums up the ridiculousness of Anakin's 'excuse' for turning to the Dark Side.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

QUOTE
Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

I like the bits about how the prequel lovers are so credulous you could sell them hookers in a vagina storm, and the above quoted bit about how you shouldn't read the previous sentence. The rest is just typical maddox.

Looks like a few people missed the fact that he's deliberately being over the top in his rants. It's meant to be satire. His "persona" is a foul-mouthed ego-maniac, who just happens to be right about everything. wink.gif It's the kind of humor that welcomes hatemail from geeks criticizing his web design skills or something.

The goofy MS paint cartoons are awesome!
