Light red, aka pink. I'm sure it has some other more specific name... But that is a shade of red that has white in it, not just the straight hue of red. Why?

That, my friend, is colored red. A lightened red, but a pink is more pink. While that is not a straight red, it's more red than white.

Well, the link says "pinkby6", but on my moniter it looks more redish than pink. Pink is brighter and more painful to look at. It's a faded sort of red, like that construction paper you find at the bottom of the scrap box that you always have to settle on because you're out of proper red paper.

I was always taught that "light red" (i.e. any shade of red that was lighter than the proper exact hue of "red") was pink. Red + white = pink. And you could possibly throw a little bit of blue in and it would still be pink until it got so much blue that it was purple.

But then, a lot of cultures don't even have a word for pink. We treat pink like it's a different colour than just light red, when other cultures, it's just light red. Though light blue has a different name and is treated as a different colour than medium or dark blue; like sky as to ocean. It's all relative, really, I guess.

IT'S NOT PINK.

If you had a poll attached, pink would not be winning. In fact, it's not winning even without the poll.

Basically, that's a #D34E4F or a (211,78,79), which would put your color inbetween

Pale Violet Red (#DB7093) and Cerise Pink (#EC3B83) (with a bit less blue).
I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.
