Contradictions, Plot holes between the Trilogies

That's a great point I never even considered. If the PT's really were the original design of Lucas, why don't they explain things about Jedi? The film assumes you already have a good understanding of them.
You know what really pisses me off, how all the critics praised the 3rd episode. Now when you watch those retrospectives on the PT, or those 45 second clips on those "hollywood watch" shows they go on about how the first two films got cool reviews but the series was saved by the epic finale.
Really, it sucked no worse thant he other two.

IMO Attack of the Clones, while bad, was watchable at least to a hard core star wars fan. TPM was beyond awful. ROTS was pretty bad. Watchable? Once, if you grit your teeth. (BTW did you see the link a while back about how Aussie movie goers rated Christen&Natalie as "least convincing couple")
Part of how much you like a movie is cast by your expectations going in. The bar had been progressively lowered, first a little by ROTJ, then massively by TPM and AOTC so if ROTS turned out to be 215 minutes of George Lucas reading on the toilet, no one would have been disappointed: "Hey! At least Jar Jar Binks wasn't in there with him"
Movie makers (Move marketers) seem to know this. Remember Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The reviews described it as a fun romp, don't take it seriously, so bad it's good. One of my coworkers came in the Monday after he saw it and said "I saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith. It was a fun romp if you don't take it too seriously. It's so bad, it's good"

Kurgan's quite convinced of his opinions so I see no reason to continue our "point, counterpoint". It only works if both parties are detached enough to admit they might not be 100% right in all things. His responses are getting too repetitive and predictable, it's like arguing with a broken record.
In any event, I've said my piece; I and a few others pointed out most of Kurgan's "plot holes" are just personal beefs of his. Sure, there are about 6 or so indefensible holes, but no film is perfect, and I'm content to let them be as they fail to affect my enjoyment of the 6 films.
Have fun doing whatever it is you are trying to do here. I now remember why I don't bother with Star Wars themed forums.

You should have seen this place a year ago.

Hm, now that he mentions it, it is a bit difficult to explain what exactly it is we do here. I keep trying to think of something that sounds better than "Kill time to amuse ourselves"...
Wait! I've got something that sounds really good:
We engage ourselves in intellectually stimulating debate, developing logical reasoning and lateral thinking skills.
Just say that next time anyone asks.

You know what very few of us do? Come in and attack people, get defensive, and then quit saying "I hate this place and places like it."
So we got that going for us!
So we got that going for us!
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).

Yes. Obviously this can't be solved by your skill with the force, but must be settled with light sabres.
